Wire Partitions from WireCrafters are a simple, effective way to protect personnel from the dangers
posed by automated equipment. These barriers are a strong, reliable, and economical solution to plant
safety needs. System versatility allows easy integration of access doors or material handling openings
with system controls.  Unlike hi-tech devices, this guard is always on duty, unaffected by power outages
or electrical problems.  Also doubles as a potential safety net by containing objects ejected by a
malfunctioning robot.  Crimped and woven wire mesh is resilient; resists dings, retains its shape, and
looks better longer.

MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
WireCrafters Features:
Standard sized panels 4' 0" or 5' 0" high by 1' 0" to 10' 0" widths.
Panels install horizontally between posts.
Made of tough 1-1/4" by 3" welded wire mesh.
Panels are framed in 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 13 gauge steel angle.
Three stock heights available, 6', 8', and 10'.
Custom size panels and special heights available.
Hinged, double hinged, sliding, and vertical rise gates available.
Lift out panels available.
Solid sheet metal, welded mesh, woven mesh and clear polycarbonite panels available.

POSTS
Posts are made of 2" x 2" x 14 gauge steel tubing. Base plates of 2" x 7" x 1/4" steel flat with two 7/16" round
holes for floor anchoring, are welded to each. Top of post is finished with decorative plastic cap. Posts have
factory drilled 1/2" holes for mounting panels.

DOORS
Doors are constructed of 1-1/4" x 3" welded wire mesh, securely welded into a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 13 gauge
steel angle frame. Doors have 10" x 16 gauge steel plate welded across center. Optional door lock designed
to fit into formed center plate. Two horizontal, (and for hinge doors, two diagonal) stiffeners made of 1/4" x 3/4"
flat steel are welded to door frame behind the mesh.

HARDWARE
All erection hardware is supplied with order. Panels attach to posts with standard 3/8" bolts. Posts anchor
to floor with 3/8" wedge type anchors-provided.

FINISH
Non-plated parts receive one coat of gray acrylic enamel. Other colors and powder coat are available.

Interlock: A physical barrier for any robotic work cell requires safety interlock switches at each opening.
WireCrafters can supply a barrier with plates to mount your own interlocks, or you can take advantage of
our relationship with Fortress Interlocks and purchase a barrier with Fortress Interlocks integrated into the
system..Through Fortress, WireCrafters offers a complete line of modular safety gate switch interlocks, which
meet safety standards for a variety of application.

    for most any safeguarding application.  Its modualr construction allows
    easy configuration.

  • eGuard Access and Control Swithches-this modular system combines
    mechanical trapped key interlocks, electrical safety gate switch interlocks
    and electrical operator controls, either as separate devices or integrated
    into one device to control access to hazardous machinery and equipment
