Why Use This Product:
The straight cantilever arm is a key component in building a safe and efficient storage plan because it directly supports the stored material. Choosing the correct arm length, capacity, and style helps prevent poor load placement, wasted rack space, and unsafe storage conditions. This is available with or without a lip, depending on whether added load retention is required. Straight arms have a minimum pitch of 3/8 inch per foot to compensate for deflection under load, improving performance when materials are stored properly.

How It Helps Your Operation:
MECO Straight Cantilever Arms help your operation organize bulky or hard-to-store materials in a clean, accessible rack layout. The adjustable design allows your team to reposition arms as inventory sizes change, helping reduce wasted vertical space and improving product access during loading and unloading. The hairpin keeper makes quick, practical adjustments, which is useful in warehouses, lumber yards, maintenance areas, and industrial storage spaces where the product mix can change over time. For safety and compatibility, MECO Series 1000 uprights, arms, and brace sets must be used only with Series 1000 components and are not interchangeable with any other rack series.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do straight cantilever arms help improve facility organization?
Straight cantilever arms help keep long materials off the floor and in defined rack positions. This reduces clutter and makes inventory easier to identify. Workers can group products by size, type, or usage frequency. Adjustable arm placement helps reduce wasted vertical space between storage levels. A cleaner rack layout supports faster picking and safer material handling.
When should a facility choose straight arms instead of inclined arms?
Straight arms are generally used for stable loads that do not roll forward. They work well for flat, boxed, bundled, or skid-mounted materials. Inclined arms are better for cylindrical items or materials that may shift or roll. Choosing the right arm style helps improve load control during storage and retrieval. Buyers should match the arm style to the material's shape and behavior.
What key features should buyers know about MECO Series 1,000 arms?
MECO Series 1,000 Cantilever Arms adjust on 3-inch centers up and down the upright. This allows facilities to adjust storage spacing as inventory levels change. Arm lengths range from 12 inches to 48 inches, with different capacity options available. A hairpin keeper supports quick height adjustment without complicated tools. Straight arms include a minimum pitch to help compensate for deflection under load.
What should buyers confirm before ordering these cantilever arms?
Buyers should confirm arm length, arm capacity, load type, upright compatibility, and lip requirements. Arms with lips can help provide added containment for some materials. MECO Series 1000 arms must be used only with Series 1000 uprights and brace sets. They are not interchangeable with other MECO rack series. Confirming these details helps ensure the rack system fits properly and performs as intended.
