Why Use This Product:
Use the Single-Sided Cantilever Starter Unit when you need a strong, organized, and flexible storage solution for standard heavy-duty industrial storage requirements. A cantilever rack is ideal for materials that are difficult to store on standard pallet racks or shelving, including pipe, tubing, conduit, lumber, bar stock, trim, panels, steel, and other long or awkward inventory. The open-front design makes loading and unloading easier, while the adjustable arms allow you to reposition your storage levels as product sizes change. With its single-sided layout, this rack helps make efficient use of wall space while keeping materials accessible and properly supported.

How It Helps Your Operation:
The MECO SU8 helps your operation improve material flow, reduce floor clutter, and create a safer, more efficient storage area. By keeping long and bulky items stored off the floor and organized by size, type, or usage, your team can find materials faster and reduce product damage caused by poor stacking or overcrowded storage areas. The adjustable arm design makes it easier to adapt the rack as your inventory changes, while the starter unit format gives you a complete first bay that can be expanded with compatible add-on units. Always load arms evenly and do not exceed upright capacity when configuring the system.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are MECO Series 4000 Cantilever Rack Systems used for?
MECO Series 4000 Cantilever Rack Systems are used to store long, bulky, or irregular materials. Common items include pipe, tubing, lumber, bar stock, conduit, panels, and structural steel. The open-front design makes loading and unloading easier than standard shelving. These racks are commonly used in warehouses, fabrication shops, lumber yards, and industrial storage areas. They help keep oversized materials organized and off the floor.
How do heavy-duty cantilever racks improve facility organization?
Heavy-duty cantilever racks give long materials a defined storage location. This reduces floor clutter and helps workers find materials faster. The rack arms support items horizontally, so products remain easier to identify and access. Better organization can also reduce damage caused by stacking materials on the floor. Facilities use these systems to improve storage control and material flow.
What is the difference between a starter unit and an add-on unit?
A starter unit creates the first complete cantilever rack bay. It includes two uprights, straight arms, and brace sets. An add-on unit connects to an existing starter unit to extend the rack row. This allows facilities to expand storage without buying another complete standalone bay. Starter and add-on units help match rack length to your available space.
What key features should buyers know about MECO Series 4000 racks?
MECO Series 4000 racks are built for normal heavy-duty industrial storage needs. Upright height options include 8 ft, 10 ft, and 12 ft models. The open-front design supports easier access for forklifts, cranes, or manual loading. Straight arms help support long materials in organized horizontal rows. Multiple height options help match the rack to ceiling clearance and inventory size.
What should a facility consider before ordering a cantilever rack system?
Facilities should review material length, load weight, ceiling height, aisle space, and forklift access. They should also decide whether the rack needs future expansion. The right upright height depends on available vertical space and handling equipment. The number of starter and add-on units depends on the total storage length. Planning these details helps create a safer and more efficient storage layout.
