Akro-Mils ShelfMax 6-inch plastic shelf bins are the higher-capacity counterpart to the 4-inch shelf bin series. At 6" high across all nine models, these bins hold significantly more inventory per position than the 4-inch bins, reducing the frequency of restocking on high-velocity SKUs and eliminating the overfilling that occurs when 4-inch bins cannot keep pace with consumption. The open front provides direct access for picking without removing the bin from the shelf.

Three lengths (11-5/8", 17-7/8", 23-5/8") and four widths cover the range of common shelf configurations. Compatible dividers are available for each width group to subdivide individual bins into multiple compartments. Prices are per carton of 6, 8, or 10 bins, depending on the model. 

Selecting the Right Bin:

♦ Size selection, use the outside dimensions to confirm the bin fits the shelf opening and the planned shelf depth. The 11-5/8"-long models suit shelves with 12" of usable depth. The 17-7/8"-long models suit 18" shelves. The 23-5/8"-long models suit deeper shelving. Width choices from 4-1/8" to 11-1/8" accommodate different part sizes and shelf widths.

♦ ShelfMax 6-inch vs. 4-inch shelf bins: the 4-inch shelf bin series is optimized for tight shelf spacing, where maximizing the number of bin rows per shelf tier is the priority. The ShelfMax 6-inch series holds more per bin and suits positions where the per-bin inventory volume is more important than fitting the most rows per shelf. Choose the 4-inch bins for maximum row density on closely spaced shelves. Choose the 6-inch ShelfMax when bins empty too quickly, and restocking frequency is the problem to solve.

♦ Divider compatibility by width, the 40020 divider fits the 4-1/8"-wide bins (30040, 30048). The 40030 divider fits the 6-5/8"-wide bins (30090, 30098, 30094). The 40040 divider fits the 8-wide bins (30080, 30088, 30084). 

♦ Carton quantities, the 11-5/8" long, 4-1/8" wide model (30040) ships 16 per carton. Most other 11-5/8" and 17-7/8" models ship in cartons of 8 or 10. The 23-5/8" long models ship 6 or 10 per carton. Prices are per carton.
