Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck

Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck

Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck, Secure Transport for Sheet Materials

The Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck features all-welded construction, apart from the casters, for exceptional durability. A durable 12-gauge steel platform and matching 12-gauge caster mounts are built for extended, heavy daily use. Bolt-on casters, two rigid and two swivel, allow for easy replacement and upgrades while providing superior cart tracking.

Upright transport helps reduce floor footprint and improves control in tight aisles. The A-frame support reduces flexing and edge contact compared to carrying sheets by hand, and reliable tracking is especially important when loads are tall and can shift during turns. Two rigid casters help the truck roll straight on long runs, while two swivel casters assist with steering into racks, doorways, and workcells.

Eight configurations are available across two sizes and four caster types.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Caster type and capacity, 6" Phenolic, 6" Mold-on Rubber, 6" Polyurethane, and 8" Full Pneumatic casters are all available, with capacity and overall height varying by type. Select based on the required load capacity and floor conditions for your application.

♦ Size: 24"x48" or 30"x60"; select based on the footprint of sheet materials being transported and the available floor and aisle space.

♦ Bolt-on caster replacement: This design makes caster replacement straightforward during routine maintenance, reducing downtime compared to welded caster assemblies and making it easier to upgrade wheel materials for different floor conditions.

♦ Two rigid, two swivel tracking: this configuration improves straight-line tracking through long corridors while still allowing tight turns into racks, doorways, and workcells.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Warehouse and Distribution Panel Storage: warehouses use this truck to move plywood, drywall, sheet metal, and plastic sheets while transferring goods from racks to pick and pack zones.

♦ Fabrication Shop Material Handling: Fabrication shops use this truck to move panels between machines without surface damage, supporting cutting stations and staging near assembly areas.

♦ Receiving and Put-Away Operations, facilities use this truck for receiving and put-away of sheet goods, feeding panels to cutting stations and staging materials near assembly areas.

♦ High-Traffic Panel Transport Requiring Easy Maintenance: Facilities running panel trucks constantly benefit from the bolt-on caster design, reducing downtime when wheels wear out or need upgrading.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck, and what is it designed to move?
The Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck is designed to transport sheet materials upright and securely. It is commonly used for panels, sheet goods, and other large flat materials. The cart uses all-welded construction, with casters installed as bolt-on components. A 12-gauge steel platform is designed for heavy daily use in industrial environments. The A-frame design helps keep sheets stable during moves between storage and work areas.
How does the PC-Series A-frame panel truck help your facility move sheet materials safely?
Upright transport helps reduce the floor footprint and improves control in tight aisles. The A-frame support reduces flexing and edge contact compared with carrying sheets by hand. Reliable tracking is important when loads are tall and can shift during turns. Two rigid casters help the truck roll straight on long runs. Two swivel casters help with steering into racks, doorways, and workcells.
What key features support durability and long service life?
The platform is made of durable 12-gauge steel to resist dents and deformation. The caster mounts are also made of 12-gauge steel, which supports repeated impacts and heavy rolling loads. All-welded construction strengthens the frame and reduces joint loosening over time. This design is well-suited to high-traffic areas where panel trucks are in constant use. Heavy-gauge components also better handle point loads under uneven loading.
How do the bolt-on casters improve maintenance and cart tracking?
Bolt-on casters make replacement easier when wheels wear out or damage occurs. That can reduce downtime compared with welded caster assemblies. The two-rigid, two-swivel caster layout improves straight tracking while still allowing tight turns. This is useful when moving sheet goods through long corridors or between bays. Bolt-on casters also make it easier to upgrade wheel materials for different floors.
What are typical uses for the Jamco PC-Series A-Frame Panel Truck?
Facilities use it to move plywood, drywall, sheet metal, plastic sheets, and finished panels. It supports receiving and put-away, feeding, cutting stations, and staging materials near assembly areas. Warehouses use it to transfer sheet goods from racks to pick or pack zones. Fabrication shops use it to move panels between machines without surface damage. It is also useful for teams that need a reliable panel truck that is easy to maintain.
