Little Giant Lumber Cart, Sheet and Panel Cart for Heavy-Duty Material Handling

The Little Giant Lumber Cart is expertly crafted to transport plywood panels, drywall, lumber, pipe, and other lengthy, bulky items. Uprights extend 27 and 36 inches above a durable 12-gauge steel deck, keeping tall or flexible items supported while the cart is in motion. On the 24-inch-wide deck, uprights are spaced 6 inches apart; on the 30-inch-wide deck, they are spaced 6 and 12 inches apart to accommodate varying bundle widths.

By consolidating loads that would otherwise require two people to carry, this cart speeds staging near saws, cutting tables, and job prep zones, while helping protect edges and corners from impact damage during transport. Overall height is 45 inches, keeping tall stock stable while still fitting through most standard aisles.

Two sizes are available, both rated at 3,600 lb capacity.

Models and Specifications:

♦ LC-2448-6PY, 24" wide x 48" long x 45" high. 6" polyurethane casters. Capacity 3,600 lbs. Uprights extend 27" and 36" above deck, with 6" spacing.

♦ LC-3048-6PY, 30" wide x 48" long x 45" high. 6" polyurethane casters. Capacity 3,600 lbs. Same construction and features as LC-2448-6PY, with greater width; uprights spaced at 6" and 12".

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Width, 24" or 30", select based on the size of panels or bundles being transported and the available floor and aisle space.

♦ Upright height support, uprights extending 27 and 36 inches above the deck cradle different load heights, keeping tall or flexible materials from bowing or shifting during transport.

♦ Upright spacing: the 30-inch-wide deck's additional 12-inch spacing option accommodates wider bundle sizes compared to the 24-inch deck's consistent 6-inch spacing.

Where Commonly Used:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Little Giant Lumber Cart, and what materials is it designed to carry?
The Little Giant Lumber Cart is a sheet-and-panel cart designed to safely move long, bulky materials. It is commonly used for plywood panels, drywall, lumber, pipe, and similar stock. Uprights help keep tall or flexible items supported while the cart is in motion. Facilities use it to reduce manual carrying and prevent materials from dragging or tipping in aisles.
How does this sheet and panel cart help a facility handle long items more efficiently?
Long materials can be hard to control and often require two people to carry. A lumber cart keeps pieces grouped and upright, which speeds staging near saws, cutting tables, or job prep zones. It also helps protect edges and corners from impact damage during transport. By consolidating loads, teams can move more material per trip with better control.
What key structural features support stability and load control?
The cart uses a durable 12-gauge steel deck to support heavy stock. Uprights extend 27 inches and 36 inches above the deck to cradle different load heights. On the 24-inch-wide deck, uprights are spaced 6 inches apart for consistent support. On the 30-inch-wide deck, uprights are spaced at 6 inches and 12 inches to accommodate varying widths and bundle sizes.
How do the wheel options affect capacity and maneuverability?
The cart offers non-marking 6-inch by 2-inch polyurethane wheels with a 3,600-pound capacity. That setup uses two rigid and four swivel casters for tight turning and easier positioning near workstations. A second option uses 6-inch-by-2-inch mold-on rubber casters with a 2,000-pound capacity. Rubber absorbs shock on rough floors, while polyurethane is better suited to cleaner surfaces and sensitive flooring.
Where is this lumber and panel cart typically used, and what are common workflows?
Warehouses use it to move sheet goods from receiving to storage and then to pick zones. Manufacturing and fabrication shops use it to stage materials near cutters, saws, and assembly areas. Construction supply and retail environments use it for order pull, staging, and loading support. With a 45-inch overall height, it fits many aisles while keeping tall stock stable during transport.
