Hallowell cell phone lockers provide individual locked compartments for phones, tablets, wallets, keys, and small personal electronics in facilities where device security and policy enforcement are operational requirements. Each compartment is sized specifically for handheld electronics, not personal belongings or tools, keeping the unit compact enough to fit on a table, counter, or wall-mounted position near an entry point, break room, or supervised area.

Three lock types are available: padlock (users supply their own padlock), key lock (each compartment is keyed individually), and DigiTech electronic (keypad-based access for each compartment). Each lock type is available in a 1-wide configuration (9" wide, 5 compartments) or a 3-wide configuration (27" wide, 15 compartments). All units are 30-1/2" tall and 12" deep.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Compartment count, 5 vs. 15: The 1-wide unit (5 compartments) suits small teams, individual classrooms, or positions where only a few users need secured device storage at one time. The 3-wide unit (15 compartments) handles larger groups, full shifts, or centralized entry-point storage where all workers deposit devices before entering a work area.

♦ Lock type, padlock: The padlock models are the lowest-cost entry point. Each user provides their own padlock, which gives complete individual key control without any facility key management overhead. This works well in environments where users are trusted to bring their own lock and administrative key management is neither needed nor desired.

♦ Lock type, key lock: Individual key locks are factory-installed per compartment. This is the appropriate selection when the facility needs to issue keys and maintain control over which users access which compartments, or when users cannot be expected to provide their own padlocks. Administrative key management (master key or key tracking) applies to this configuration. Verify with Hallowell whether a master-key option is available for the key-lock models.

♦ Lock type, DigiTech electronic: The DigiTech electronic lock provides keypad-based access, eliminating the risk of lost keys and allowing codes to be changed between users without rekeying. This is the highest-cost option and the most appropriate for environments with high user turnover, where key management would create administrative overhead, or where auditable access is preferred. Verify with Hallowell what code management features are available on the DigiTech system.

♦ Mounting configuration: The body copy references recessed, wall-mounted, and freestanding installations. Verify with Hallowell which of these mounting options apply to these specific UCTL-series models before specifying an installation type.
