Rousseau CNC tool shelving with adaptors uses an adaptor-based PVC rack system that allows the shelving unit to be configured or reconfigured for different CNC toolholder interface types. Unlike the Rousseau NCS shelving units and NCM cabinets, which are permanently configured for a single toolholder standard at the time of purchase, the adaptor-based system offers the flexibility to switch toolholder types by swapping adaptor inserts. This makes the with-adaptors series the preferred choice for machine shops managing multiple toolholder interface types in the same storage area, or for operations anticipating future changes to their CNC equipment.

PVC tool racks hold toolholders at an angle for individual position storage, corrosion protection, coolant drainage, and minimized tool-to-tool contact. Each rack includes a tool identification zone for labeling.

All models in this series are 36" wide x 18" deep. Two heights are available: 75" and 87". Tool capacity is the same at both heights; the additional height does not add rack positions. Five toolholder types are available. Tool capacity per unit ranges from 54 to 108 tools, depending on the toolholder type.

Selection Guide:

♦ Toolholder interface type: Select the model pre-configured with adaptors for the toolholder standard currently in use. Because this system uses adaptors, the racks can be reconfigured for a different type in the future. Call 866-333-0728 to confirm adaptor interchangeability and availability before ordering if reconfiguration is planned.

♦ Tool capacity by type (same at both heights), Taper-40: 72 tools. Taper-50: 54 tools. HSK-50: 108 tools. HSK-63: 72 tools. KM-50: 108 tools. KM-63: 72 tools. The smaller-diameter toolholders (HSK-50 and KM-50) fit more positions per rack level than the larger-diameter toolholders (Taper-50).

♦ Height, 75" or 87", tool count is identical at both heights. Choose 87" when additional vertical height is needed to fit the unit within a row alongside taller shelving or to standardize height across a storage area. Choose 75" for lower-profile installations.

♦ Depth, all models are 18" deep. This is shallower than the NCS shelving units (24" deep) and NCM cabinets (24" or 27" deep). Confirm that the 18" depth is adequate for the specific toolholder type before ordering.

♦ Adaptor-based vs. dedicated racks: Choose this adaptor series when multi-type flexibility or future reconfigurability is needed. Choose the dedicated NCS shelving units or NCM cabinets when only one toolholder type will be stored, and flexibility is not a priority.
