Jamco bin storage cabinets consolidate small-parts bin storage into a single locked steel enclosure, replacing scattered open shelving with a defined, secured location for fasteners, hardware, components, maintenance supplies, and other frequently accessed small items. The full louvered interior panels allow bins to be positioned at any height and repositioned as inventory needs change, without fixed shelf positions. Yellow polypropylene bins are included with each cabinet.

The 14-gauge steel wall construction, lockable doors, and forklift-ready legs are consistent across the lineup. Five models span three widths (36", 48", 60") in two series configurations. All models are 24" deep and 78" high with a durable powder coat finish.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Width: the three widths (36", 48", 60") govern the lateral span of the louvered panels and the total number of bins that can be accommodated across each row. The wider models hold more bins per row and increase total bin capacity proportionally. Choose based on the number of part numbers to be stored and the available floor footprint at the installation location.

♦ DF236 vs. DE236 at the same size, both models are 36" wide x 24" deep x 78" high, but the DE236 is priced substantially higher than the DF236. This price difference reflects a meaningful difference in specification between the two, likely in bin count, bin size, or interior configuration. Verify the specific differences with CustomMHS before selecting between these two models.

♦ Louvered panels: the full louvered interior panels allow bins to be mounted at any vertical position in small increments, without fixed shelf positions. This is more flexible than a fixed-shelf bin cabinet and allows the bin layout to be customized to the mix of bin sizes needed for the stored inventory. Bins can be added, removed, or repositioned without tools as the parts inventory changes.

♦ Included yellow bins: Each model ships with a set of yellow polypropylene bins already included in the price. 

♦ Forklift-ready legs: All models include forklift-ready legs for repositioning the loaded cabinet without requiring it to be unloaded first. This is useful in facilities where bin cabinet positions are adjusted periodically during layout changes or when cabinets need to be relocated to a different work area.

♦ Jamco vs. Strong Hold bin-drawer cabinets: The Strong Hold bin-drawer cabinet uses a drawer format with bins inside steel drawers accessed through locking cabinet doors. The Jamco bin cabinet uses louvered panels and open-front bins that are accessible when the cabinet doors are open. Choose the Jamco format for faster visual picking from the louvered panel layout when the doors are open. Choose the Strong Hold drawer format when the drawers themselves provide an additional layer of organization and when the entire bin set needs to be accessed at once by pulling a single drawer.
