Parent Metal industrial wardrobe storage cabinets provide a full-height hanging rod for coats, uniforms, and PPE, along with a top shelf for helmets, boots, and heavier gear, in an all-welded steel enclosure that ships fully assembled. Full-height piano hinges and 3-point locking bars are standard across the lineup.

Two shelf capacity tiers are available: the 172 and 272 series carry 200 pounds per shelf, and the 317, 327, and 427 series carry 400 pounds per shelf. Both tiers are 36" wide at the 18" and 24" depth options. The 427-W is the only 48"-wide model and is available at 400 pounds only. Heights of 72" and 78" are available in the 200-pound tier; the 400-pound tier is 78" only.

♦ Shelf capacity, 200 vs. 400 pounds: the 200-pound tier suits wardrobe storage, where the top shelf holds helmets, gloves, boots, and similar personal gear. The 400-pound tier handles heavier items, rigging accessories, field tool kits, boxed consumables, or dense PPE that would exceed the 200-pound rating. Both tiers are available in 36" wide, 18" or 24" deep formats. Choose the 400-pound tier whenever the shelf load could reasonably exceed 200 pounds.

♦ Height, 72" vs. 78", the 72"-high models (172-W and 272-W) suit positions with lower overhead clearance or where a slightly shorter cabinet is preferred. The 78"-high models provide more interior hanging length, accommodating longer garments without bunching at the bottom. The 400-pound tier is only available at 78" high.

♦ Width, 36" vs. 48", the 36"-wide models are available across all capacity and height combinations. The 48"-wide 427-W is the only model providing more lateral hanging rod length, suited to positions where two or more users share the cabinet or where wider garments and equipment need more hanging space. The 427-W is 400 pounds in capacity and 78" high only.

♦ Parent Metal wardrobe vs. Strong Hold wardrobe, the Strong Hold solid-door wardrobe cabinet uses 12-gauge all-welded construction with 6" welded legs and the same premium hardware spec as the rest of the Strong Hold floor cabinet line. The Parent Metal wardrobe uses full-height piano hinges and 3-point locking bars without legs. Choose the Strong Hold for the highest construction spec and forklift mobility. Choose the Parent Metal for a mid-tier all-welded wardrobe at a lower price point, with the 400-pound shelf capacity option at the same 36" width.
