Pucel Narrow Industrial Storage Cabinet

Pucel Narrow Industrial Storage Cabinet – Heavy-Duty Space-Saving Storage Solution
Pucel narrow industrial storage cabinets are 18" wide -- the narrowest welded cabinet configuration in the Pucel lineup, and the right choice when wall sections, bay ends, column gaps, and tight corridor positions need a full-height locking steel cabinet but can't accommodate the 36" or 48" widths of the standard heavy-duty series.
At 18" wide and 24" deep, these cabinets have a minimal footprint while retaining the same all-welded, heavy-duty steel construction and 1,500-pound-per-shelf capacity as the broader Pucel HDSC series. Keyed handles with two keys are included. Two heights are available: 60" and 72".
Models and Specifications:
♦ HDSC-1860-24-4: 18" wide x 24" deep x 60" tall. 4 shelves. 1,500 pounds per shelf.
♦ HDSC-1872-24-4: 18" wide x 24" deep x 72" tall. 4 shelves. 1,500 pounds per shelf.
Selecting the Right Model:
♦ Height, 60" vs. 72": The 60" tall model suits positions with overhead clearance constraints, under-window installations, or areas where a full 72" height is not needed or not possible. The 72" model provides one additional shelf position for more organized vertical storage in the same narrow footprint.
♦ Both models are identical in width (18"), depth (24"), shelf count (4), and shelf capacity (1,500 pounds). The only selection variable is height.
♦ 18" width in context: At 18" wide, these cabinets fit wall sections and structural gaps that would not accommodate the 36" or 48" wide models in the Pucel Heavy Duty or Super Heavy Duty series. They are not a substitute for cabinets that require full shelf width, but they make locked, heavy-capacity storage possible in locations where wider units simply do not fit.
♦ 1,500 pounds per shelf: The narrow width does not reduce shelf capacity -- these cabinets carry the same 1,500-pound-per-shelf rating as the Pucel Heavy Duty HDSC series, making them appropriate for heavy items stored in tight spaces, not just light supplies.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Column and Structural Gap Positions: Filling narrow wall sections between structural columns, doorframes, or building features where standard 36" or 48" cabinets do not fit but a locked, heavy-capacity storage position is still needed.
♦ Corridor and Aisle End Positions: Placing a locked storage cabinet at the end of a narrow aisle or corridor, where width constraints preclude standard cabinet sizes but the location is otherwise ideal for storing tools, supplies, or equipment adjacent to the work area it serves.
♦ Supplemental Cabinet Runs: Adding storage capacity at the end of an existing wall run of wider cabinets where the remaining wall space is too narrow for another standard unit but wide enough for an 18" cabinet.
♦ Office and Lab Adjacencies: Industrial or technical areas where a full-height locking steel cabinet is needed adjacent to a workspace but the available wall space is limited to a narrow section between workbenches, equipment, or partitions.
♦ Secure Small-Item Storage: Organizing and locking high-value small tools, precision instruments, or controlled supplies in a narrow locked cabinet where the 1,500-pound-per-shelf capacity far exceeds what the items weigh, providing structural durability without needing the full width of a standard cabinet.
