At 34" high, the Rousseau L-Series compact drawer cabinet steps up from the shorter 24" and 28" formats to a height that fits many standard workbench and counter positions while staying narrower than a full R-Series cabinet. The 18" wide footprint is unchanged, and the 100 lb per drawer capacity with full-extension slides carries through the series. What the additional height delivers is more drawer capacity per unit and the ability to fit six uniform drawers in a single cabinet without mixing in deeper positions to fill the space.

The 34" lineup runs 38 models across two depths 21" (L3ABD series) and 27" (L3ABG series), covering 4 to 6 drawer positions. It also includes two types of enclosed storage units in the same 18" x 34" format: a single-door/shelf unit with no drawers, and a combination unit with one 6" drawer above a door and shelf section. Both are designed to sit alongside drawer cabinets in a continuous storage run, handling items that don't fit in standard drawers while maintaining a consistent run height. All units are manufactured in North America with concealed fasteners.

Selecting the Right Unit:

♦ Depth -- 21" (L3ABD) vs. 27" (L3ABG): The 21" depth suits positions with limited front-to-back clearance. The 27" depth adds interior space for longer tools and items needing more depth. Both share the same drawer configurations throughout the lineup.

♦ Four-drawer units: Three configurations are available. Two 3" drawers over two 12" drawers (L3ABD/G-3407/3408) maximize the contrast between shallow and deep positions: shallow drawers for flat or thin items, deep drawers for bulkier or taller items. Two 5" drawers over one 8" and one 12" drawer (L3ABD/G-3421/3422) balance mid-depth and deep storage. One 4" over one 6" over one 8" over one 12" drawer (L3ABD/G-3447/3448) gives four distinct heights in a single unit, useful when the inventory spans a wide size range, and each category needs its own drawer height.

♦ Five-drawer units: Four configurations available. Five uniform 6" drawers (L3ABD/G-3403/3404) suit medium-size tools and components where a consistent drawer height simplifies organization. Two 3" over two 6" over one 12" (L3ABD/G-3415/3416) combine high-count shallow positions with one deep position. One 4" over two 5" over two 8" (L3ABD/G-3419/3420) suits mixed inventories where most items are mid-size, but two items or categories need the larger 8" position. Two 3" over one 4" over two 6" over one 8" (L3ABD/G-3437/3438) provides a mixed-height 6-drawer layout.

♦ Drawer/door/shelf combination (L3ABD/G-3411/3412): One 6" drawer in the upper section, one door with an interior shelf below. Suited to positions where most items fit in a drawer, but one category needs enclosed shelf access, larger tools, boxed components, or items that would be damaged by direct light and dust exposure on an open shelf.

♦ Door/shelf only (L3ABD/G-3436): One door, one interior shelf, no drawers. A standalone enclosed storage unit in the 18" x 34" format for use alongside drawer cabinets in a run, handling items too large or oddly shaped for standard drawers while maintaining consistent height across the storage run.

♦ Partitions: Drawer models marked "Yes" include divider partitions. Models marked "No" have open drawer interiors. Enclosed-section models carry no partition designation.
