Strong Hold heavy-duty drawer storage cabinets combine full-extension drawers and heavy-capacity shelves in a single 36"-wide all-welded steel unit. The drawers are rated at 400 pounds each and extend fully for unobstructed access to the entire drawer interior. The shelves carry up to 1,900 pounds. Six configurations let buyers choose the balance between drawers and shelves that matches their storage mix: from 8 drawers and 1 shelf for high-density small-item storage to 3 drawers and 4 shelves, with bulk shelf storage as the primary need and drawer storage as a complement.

Construction is 12-gauge all-welded steel throughout, with 8-gauge hinges and a cast aluminum bronze alloy 3-point locking handle, consistent with the Strong Hold Extreme Duty hardware tier. ♦ Drawer count vs. shelf count: the six models represent a spectrum from drawer-dominant (8 drawers, 1 shelf) to shelf-dominant (3 drawers, 4 shelves). Choose more drawers when the majority of stored items are small to medium, benefit from categorized drawer organization, and need to be accessed quickly without moving other items. Choose more shelves when a significant portion of the stored inventory consists of large, bulky, or irregular items that don't fit in drawers and need flat shelf space.

♦ 8-drawer and 7-drawer models for high-density small-item storage, the 36-241-8DB and 36-242-7DB are the highest drawer-count configurations in this lineup. The 8-drawer model has only 1 shelf -- almost the entire interior is drawers. Choose these when organized drawer storage for a large set of small tools, hardware, and parts is the primary requirement, with shelf storage secondary or minimal.

♦ 3-drawer models with 3 or 4 shelves for mixed storage, the 36-243-3DB and 36-244-3DB both have 3 drawers but differ in shelf count: 3 shelves vs. 4 shelves. Both are suitable when the majority of stored inventory is on shelves, with drawer storage supplementing the shelves for smaller items. The 36-244-3DB provides one additional shelf position, which matters if the cabinet will be densely loaded.
