Rousseau 48" R-Series Modular Drawer Cabinets | 400 lb Full-Extension Drawers

Rousseau 48" R-Series modular drawer cabinets are the widest offering in the standard R-Series lineup, providing maximum drawer interior space for oversized tooling, large fixture sets, bulky assemblies, and high-volume industrial inventory. Each drawer is rated at 400 lb capacity with full-extension slides. Cabinets are manufactured in North America.

All models are 48" wide. Two depths are available: 24" (R5AHE series) and 27" (R5AHG series) across heights from 32" to 60". Drawer configurations range from 5 to 15 drawers per cabinet with drawer heights from 3" to 12". Most configurations are available with or without partitions. One 60" model includes a roll-out shelf option.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Depth: 24" (R5AHE) vs. 27" (R5AHG): The 24" depth suits standard floor positions and workbench base applications. The 27" depth provides additional drawer interior depth for longer tools, larger storage trays, and items that benefit from extra front-to-back clearance. Both depths are 48" wide and share nearly identical drawer configuration options across the lineup.

♦ Cabinet height: The 32" range suits workbench-height use or as a base in a modular workstation system. The 40" and 46" heights provide significant drawer count in a full-height floor unit without reaching ceiling height in most facilities. The 60" models offer the highest drawer density per footprint, supporting up to 15 drawers in the 48"-wide configuration a consolidation point for large tool crib and maintenance inventories.

♦ Drawer configuration: Shallow drawers (3" to 5" tall) suit small parts, fasteners, cutting inserts, and precision instruments organized by type. Mid-depth drawers (6" to 8" tall) accommodate hand tools, larger components, and standard-size boxed supplies. Deep drawers (10" to 12" tall) handle heavy or bulky tooling, large fixture components, or stacked storage trays. Mixed configurations accommodate varied inventories in a single cabinet.

♦ Roll-out shelf: R5AHE-5857 includes a roll-out shelf providing an integrated pull-out work surface within the 48"-wide cabinet. Suited to tool crib and inspection environments where a flat surface at cabinet height improves workflow.

♦ Partitions: Models marked "Yes" include drawer divider partitions. Models marked "No" have open drawer interiors.
