Rousseau R Specialized counter-height work centers are modular storage and workstation systems that combine drawer cabinets with integrated accessories into a single counter-height unit. Where standard R-Series drawer cabinets are purpose-built for storage, the R Specialized work center series is configured for active workstation positions where a technician, assembler, inspector, or operator needs organized storage alongside functional workspace features such as power access, computer mounts, bins for loose parts, and back panel organization. Accessories are designed to be swapped and repositioned with minimal tooling as workstation requirements change.

Seven standard configurations cover 48", 60", and 108" widths at heights from 36" to 44", with drawer counts from 4 to 19. Accessories vary by model and include power outlets, monitor and keyboard mounts, single door sections, roll-out shelves, uprights, back panels, and bins. All units are manufactured in North America with concealed fasteners throughout.

Selecting the Right Work Center:

♦ Width: The 48" models (R5XHG series) are the most common format, suited to single-operator workstations and positions where a standard counter-height cabinet footprint is appropriate. The 60" model (R5XKG-1016) adds width for operations needing more counter space or additional storage alongside the drawer section. The 108" model (R5XSE-1202) is a wide-format integrated system suited to shared workstations, inspection benches, or multi-function positions where a continuous counter run with high drawer count and enclosed storage is needed.

♦ Accessories -- power: Models with integrated power outlets (R5XHG-1052 and R5XHG-4005) suit technician stations, test benches, and diagnostic positions where tools, instruments, or equipment require power at the work surface.

♦ Accessories -- computer integration: Models with monitor and keyboard mounts (R5XHG-1018, R5XHG-1054, R5XHG-1056) suit paperless production, quality, and maintenance positions where the operator references digital work instructions, CAD, ERP, or inspection data alongside the physical workstation.

♦ Accessories -- organization: R5XHG-4005 includes uprights, back panel, and bins, in addition to power -- the most fully outfitted configuration for positions requiring surface-level parts and tool organization above the counter, as well as drawer storage below.

♦ Accessories -- enclosed storage and shelf: R5XKG-1016 and R5XSE-1202 include door-and-shelf combinations for enclosed bulk storage alongside the drawer section, suited to positions that mix small-parts drawer organization with larger items that don't fit in standard drawers.

♦ Height: Standard counter height across most models is 36" to 40", appropriate for seated or standing use with ergonomic stools. The R5XSE-1202 at 44" is taller and better suited to standing-only positions or where the extended height accommodates the integrated door section.
