Cotterman 1500-Series Rolling Safety Ladder – 3–19 Steps, 450 lb Capacity, Performa/Expanded Metal/Grip Strut Treads

Cotterman 1500-Series Steel Rolling Safety Ladders

Cotterman 1500-Series Rolling Safety Ladder

The Cotterman 1500-Series Rolling Safety Ladder is the ready-to-assemble (RTA) answer for operations that want Cotterman performance while keeping freight costs under control. Built as an economical shipping alternative to the popular 1000-Series, the 1500 ships packaged at a lower freight class and can typically be assembled on-site in about 15–30 minutes (depending on model size). That means you get a heavy-duty rolling ladder without having to pay to ship it fully assembled.

This series is also Cotterman’s widest range, offering configurations from three to nineteen steps—a big advantage for facilities that need consistent ladder specs across multiple departments but different working heights.

Durability stays front and center: a high-gloss powder coat finish holds up to daily wear, standard steps are 7” deep, and you can choose a 10”, 20”, or 30” top step based on how long users need to stand and work at height. For traction, select the tread that matches your environment: Performa tread for maximum slip resistance, expanded metal mesh for warehouse-friendly grip and debris pass-through, or Grip Strut for heavy industrial conditions. The ladder supports up to 450 lbs.

Stability is engineered by step count: 1–4 step models use spring-loaded casters that retract under weight to immobilize the ladder, while 5-step and above models use Cotterman’s Safelock system for enhanced stability during use.

Shipping is optimized by configuration: models with a 10” top step up to 11 steps ship enclosed in shrink wrap, and 12 steps and up ship knocked-down on skids to further reduce freight costs.
