Hallowell 5533 Hi-Tech Bin Shelving | 16 Openings, 12", 18", and 36" Wide

The Hallowell 5533 bin shelving unit provides 16 openings across three sizes, with all openings at a uniform 12" height. The first model in the Hi-Tech Bin Shelving System series has a consistent opening height throughout. The layout progresses from medium to large: (9) openings at 12" W x 12" H across the upper shelves, (6) openings at 18" W x 12" H in the middle zone, and a single 36" W x 12" H opening at the bottom. The 36"-wide position is the largest single opening in the Hi-Tech Bin Shelving System series and spans the full internal width of the unit.

The 5533 is the correct choice when inventory includes items large enough to require an 18"-wide or 36"-wide dedicated position, and the 16-position total count is adequate for the number of SKUs to be organized. All units are 36" wide x 87" high. Three depth options: 12", 18", and 24". 

Selecting the Right Depth:

♦ 12" depth, minimum footprint. Suited for items that do not require more than 12" of front-to-back clearance across all three opening sizes.

♦ 18" depth, standard depth. Accommodates most items in 12" and 18" wide positions; provides additional depth for the 36"-wide bottom position.

♦ 24" depth, maximum depth. Suited for larger items in the 18" or 36" wide positions that require more front-to-back clearance, or for higher per-opening volume in those positions.

♦ 5533 vs. 5532, the 5532 uses 12"- and 18"-wide openings without a 36"-wide position. Choose 5533 when any stored item requires the full 36"-wide opening. Choose 5532 when 18" is the largest opening width needed.

♦ 5533 vs. 5525, the 5525 provides 14 uniform 18"-wide openings. The 5533 provides a mixed layout with 9, 6, and 1 openings at 12", 18", and 36" widths. Choose 5533 when inventory spans multiple size ranges. Choose 5525 when all items are consistent at 18" wide.

♦ Starter vs. add-on units: Order one starter per row. Add-on units share a side panel and cannot stand alone.
