Hallowell 5536 Hi-Tech Bin Shelving | 21 Openings with 3" Front Bins

The Hallowell 5536 bin shelving unit provides 21 openings per unit, each 12" wide x 12" high, with 3" high front bins included. The opening count and size are identical to the 5526, but the 5536 adds front bins at the leading edge of each shelf position. The 3" front bins contain items at the front of the opening, preventing parts from sliding forward during picking and providing a cleaner visual presentation of each position. This is the only model in the Hi-Tech Bin Shelving System series that includes front bins as a standard feature.

The 5536 is the correct selection over the 5526 when front bin containment is needed at each position for example, when items are prone to sliding, when visual order at the shelf face is important for audits or inspections, or when the 3" front lip helps distinguish each position in a high-velocity picking environment. All units are 36" wide x 87" high. Three depth options: 12", 18", and 24".

Selecting the Right Depth:

♦ 12" depth, minimum footprint. Suited for items that do not require more than 12" of front-to-back clearance behind the 3" front bin.

♦ 18" depth, standard depth. Provides the most useful depth behind the front bin for medium-sized parts in 12" wide positions.

♦ 24" depth, maximum depth. For higher per-opening volume or items that require more front-to-back space behind the front bin.

♦ 5536 vs. 5526, both models have 21 openings at 12" W x 12" H. The 5536 includes 3" front bins; the 5526 does not. Choose 5536 when front bin containment is required at each position. Choose 5526 when front bins are not needed, and the lower price of the comparable 5526 configuration is preferred.

♦ Starter vs. add-on units: Order one starter per row. Add-on units share a side panel and cannot stand alone.
