Rousseau CNC Tool Drawer Shelving Unit | Five Toolholder Types, 30" or 36" Wide

The Rousseau CNC tool drawer shelving unit is designed specifically for organized, protective storage of CNC toolholders and precision tooling in machine shop environments. Each unit uses PVC tool racks set at a 20° forward angle to hold toolholders securely in individual positions. The angle keeps tools in place during access, minimizes contact between adjacent tools, and allows coolant drainage. The PVC material resists corrosion, impacts, and spatter from molten metal. Each rack position includes a tool identification zone for labeling.

Five toolholder interface types are available: Taper-40 (BT40/CAT40), Taper-50 (BT50/CAT50), HSK-50, HSK-63, KM-50, and KM-63. Capacity per unit varies by tool type and unit size, ranging from 40 to 96 tools. All units are 24" deep. Two widths are available: 30" and 36". Two heights are available: 75" with 2 shelf levels and 2 dividers, and 87" with 3 shelf levels and 4 dividers. The 87" unit provides the higher tool count at the same width by adding a shelf level.

Selection Guide:

♦ Toolholder interface type, select the model configured for the specific toolholder standard used in your CNC machines. Mixing tool interface types within a single unit is not supported; each model is dedicated to a single toolholder type. Taper-40 and Taper-50 suit V-flange (BT/CAT) toolholders. HSK-50 and HSK-63 suit hollow-shank taper toolholders. KM-50 and KM-63 are suitable for Kennametal KM quick-change toolholders.

♦ Width, 30" or 36", the 36" wide units hold more tools per shelf level than the 30" wide units of the same height and tool type. Choose 36" when maximizing tool count per unit is the priority. Choose 30" when floor or aisle space is limited.

♦ Height and shelf count: the 75" high units include 2 shelf levels and 2 dividers; the 87" high units include 3 shelf levels and 4 dividers. The 87" unit holds more tools than the 75" unit of the same width and tool type. Choose 87" when ceiling height allows, and maximum unit capacity is needed.

♦ Tool capacity summary by type and size, Taper-40: 56 tools (30" x 75"), 56 tools (30" x 87"), 64 tools (36" x 75"), 64 tools (36" x 87"). Taper-50: 40 tools (30"), 48 tools (36"). HSK-50: 80 tools (30"), 96 tools (36"). HSK-63: 56 tools (30"), 64 tools (36"). KM-50: 80 tools (30"), 96 tools (36"). KM-63: 56 tools (30"), 64 tools (36"). Note: Taper-40 and Taper-50 capacity does not increase between 75" and 87" heights -- verify with CustomMHS at 866-333-0728 before ordering if height-related capacity differences matter for your application.

♦ PVC rack angle and corrosion protection, the 20° rack angle and PVC surface construction make this system appropriate for active coolant environments. The PVC resists corrosion and spatter and facilitates drainage, making it suited to machine shop conditions that would degrade foam or fabric inserts.
