Akro-Mils plastic storage cabinets organize small parts, hardware, fasteners, and components in clear-drawer units that allow contents to be identified without opening each drawer. The crystal-clear drawers, molded divider slots for creating custom compartments, finger-grip pulls, and rear stop tabs that prevent drawers from pulling out completely are standard across all five models. Units can be mounted on a wall, stacked on a bench, or placed in any position where compact small-parts storage is needed.

Five models span two cabinet sizes and four drawer configurations, from 16 small drawers in the compact 10-1/2"-wide model up to 64 small drawers in the largest 20"-wide format. All models are 6-3/8" deep.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Cabinet width, 10-1/2" vs. 20", the 10116 is the compact format at 10-1/2" wide and 8-1/2" high, suited to tight bench positions, tool crib windows, or locations where a full 20"-wide cabinet is too large. The four 20"-wide models provide substantially more drawer capacity in the same 6-3/8" depth.

♦ Drawer configuration: large vs. small drawers. The large drawers in the 10124, 10126, and 10144 models accommodate bulkier items, larger fasteners, fittings, small tools, and components that don't fit in the narrower small drawers. The small drawers in the 10116, 10126, 10144, and 10164 models organize finer items, such as small screws, pins, clips, contacts, and other tiny hardware that would rattle around in a large drawer.

♦ All small drawers vs. mixed, the 10116 (all small, compact) and 10164 (all small, full-size) suit inventories consisting entirely of fine small parts. The 10124 (all large) suits inventories of medium-sized components only. The 10126 (6 large + 20 small) and 10144 (12 large + 32 small) suits mixed inventories, where both item sizes are stored in the same cabinet.

♦ Wall-mount vs. bench-top, all five models can be mounted on a wall to keep bench surfaces clear, or placed directly on a bench, shelf, or floor-standing cabinet top. Wall-mounting is appropriate when bench space is at a premium. Bench placement is appropriate when the cabinet will be moved or repositioned periodically.
