Akro-Mils 19-Series Steel Storage Cabinets | Welded Steel Body, Polystyrene Drawers

Akro-Mils 19-Series steel storage cabinets combine a welded galvannealed steel cabinet body with high-impact polystyrene drawers to deliver organized small-parts storage built for industrial environments. The galvannealed steel body resists corrosion and daily wear better than standard cold-rolled steel, while the powder coat finish provides additional surface protection. The polystyrene drawers resist chemicals, dents, and rust and slide smoothly on rear stop tabs that prevent drawers from being pulled out completely.

Inside each drawer, dovetailed divider slots allow up to 8 separate compartments for organizing fasteners, electrical components, replacement parts, and small tools by size, type, or application. All drawers are 10-9/16" deep. Five cabinet models cover 9 to 28 drawers in varying drawer widths and heights. Compatible divider accessory sets are available for select models.

The cabinets can be stacked, wall-mounted, or placed on shelves or under workbenches, in any configuration that suits the installation location.

♦ 19416, 16 drawers. Each drawer 4" wide x 2-1/8" high x 10-9/16" deep. Dovetailed divider slots. Rear stop tabs. Galvannealed steel body, powder-coat finish.

♦ 19320, 20 drawers. Each drawer 3-3/16" wide x 2-1/16" high x 10-9/16" deep. Dovetailed divider slots. Rear stop tabs. Galvannealed steel body, powder-coat finish. Compatible divider set: 40320.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Drawer count and drawer size, the five models balance drawer count against drawer dimensions. The 19909 (9 drawers) has the widest and tallest drawers at 5-3/16" x 3-1/16" -- best for larger small parts, small tools, and components that need more lateral space per drawer. The 19228 (28 drawers) has the narrowest drawers at 2-3/16" wide best for fine hardware, very small fasteners, and components where maximum drawer count for maximum part number separation is the priority. The 19715, 19416, and 19320 fall between these two extremes.

♦ Dovetailed divider slots and compatible divider sets are available for the 19909, 19320, and 19228. These sets allow each drawer to be subdivided into up to 8 compartments for organizing multiple part types per drawer. 

♦ Steel body vs. plastic cabinet, the 19-Series uses a welded galvannealed steel body in contrast to the all-plastic Akro-Mils plastic storage cabinets. The steel body provides greater rigidity and durability in high-use industrial environments. The drawers are still made of polystyrene plastic (lighter weight, chemical-resistant) within the steel housing. Choose the 19-Series when the installation environment demands a steel cabinet body. Choose the plastic cabinet when weight and portability are the priority.

♦ Stackability, all 19-Series models can be stacked to increase drawer capacity at a single wall or bench position. Cabinet dimensions should be verified against available vertical space before ordering multiple stacked units.
