Strong Hold Cabinet Workbench with Maple Top and 2 Drawers
Strong Hold Cabinet Workbench w/ Maple Top & 2 Drawers – 12-Gauge Steel
Strong Hold cabinet workbenches with maple top combine a full-length hardwood work surface with organized, lockable cabinet storage below, all in a floor-flush design that sits directly on the floor without legs. The maple top provides a durable, traditional work surface suited to assembly, maintenance, packaging, and general production work where a wood surface is preferred over steel for its quieter character and part-friendly contact.
Below the maple top, two 6"-high drawers rated at 400 pounds each sit behind lockable cabinet doors. Below the drawers, a large open storage bay provides quick-access space for bins, kits, jigs, PPE, and other bulky items that need to be within reach without opening a door. The 3-point locking system is padlock-ready and controls access to the drawer section in shared environments.
Three widths are available: 50", 62", and 74". All models are 30" deep and 34" high overall. On the 74"-wide model, the cabinet incorporates a double-shift design with two independently locking door sets and an internal shelf, allowing one side to be secured while the other is in active use.

♦ 6.22.10-WB-300-2DB-MT, 74" wide x 30" deep x 34" high. Full-length maple top. 2 drawers at 400 pounds each, 6" high, behind lockable doors. Open the lower bay below the drawers. Double-shift design with two independently locking door sets and internal shelf. 3-point locking per side, padlock-ready. Floor-flush, no legs.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Width and locking configuration: the 50" and 62" models use a single 3-point locking system covering the drawer section. The 74"-wide model uses a double-shift design with two independently locking door sets; one side can be accessed while the other remains locked. Choose the 74" model when two users, shifts, or teams need independent access to portions of the same bench.
♦ Maple top vs. steel work surface: maple is the traditional industrial workbench surface material for good reason: it absorbs impact and vibration rather than ringing like steel, it is gentler on precision parts and finished surfaces, and it can be drilled, modified, or fitted with jigs and fixtures directly into the surface. Choose maple when bench work involves assembly of sensitive parts, packaging, inspection of finished goods, or any operation where a hard steel surface would be disadvantageous.
♦ Floor-flush vs. legged design: this workbench sits directly on the floor with no legs, providing a completely level, stable base with no risk of the unit shifting or racking during heavy use. The floor-flush design also eliminates the sweep space and forklift clearance that legged cabinets provide. This bench is intended for a fixed, permanent position. If forklift repositioning is needed, the 4-drawer hidden drawer workbench (with 6" welded legs) is the appropriate alternative.
♦ 30" depth vs. 36" depth: this bench is 30" deep, providing a standard front-to-back workbench dimension well-suited to most assembly and bench work. The 4-drawer hidden-drawer workbench (path 3604) is 36" deep, providing additional front-to-back workspace. Choose based on the depth of the work task and the available floor space.
♦ Open lower bay: the open lower section below the drawers is not locked or enclosed. It provides quick-access storage for items that are too large for the drawers and need to be immediately accessible without opening a door. This is distinct from the fully enclosed, lockable lower shelving on the 4-drawer workbench.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Assembly and Production Workstations: assembly workers who handle finished or semi-finished parts benefit from the maple surface, which is gentler on parts than steel, while the drawer storage keeps their tool set organized and locked within the bench footprint.
♦ Packaging and Inspection Positions: workers who inspect or package products on the bench surface benefit from the maple top, which reduces noise and protects surface finishes, while tools and supplies are organized in the locked drawers below.
♦ Maintenance Shops with Fixed Bench Positions, maintenance departments with dedicated bench positions that are never relocated, benefit from the floor-flush stability and the organized drawer and open-bay storage layout for a complete, permanent work position.
♦ Double-Shift Assembly Positions (74"-wide model), facilities running two shifts where each shift uses one side of the 74"-wide bench independently, keeping their own tools in their locked section and the other side secured during their shift.
♦ Facilities Preferring Traditional Wood Work Surfaces: Operations that have standardized on maple work surfaces for ergonomic, acoustic, or parts-protection reasons use this bench to maintain that surface standard while adding the organized lockable drawer storage of the Strong Hold cabinet format.
