These are individual uprights and bases for the MECO Series 1000 Medium Duty Cantilever Rack system. Price includes the upright column and base only. Cantilever arms and brace sets are sold separately and must be ordered to complete a functional rack section. This page is for buyers who are adding uprights to an existing Series 1000 installation or configuring a custom layout rather than purchasing a complete starter or add-on unit.

Uprights are available in five heights (6', 7', 8', 10', 12') and three base lengths per height, producing 15 models. The base length determines which arm lengths are compatible. Series 1000 uprights are compatible only with Series 1000 arms and brace sets -- they are not interchangeable with any other MECO rack series.

Choosing the Right Upright Model:

The model number encodes the height and base length. The first two digits indicate the upright height in feet (MU6 = 6', MU7 = 7', MU8 = 8', MU10 = 10', MU12 = 12'). The last two digits indicate the base length in inches (33, 45, or 57).

Base length determines compatible arm lengths. Select the base length based on the arm length you need for your load, not the upright height alone.

♦ 33" base: compatible with 12", 18", and 24" arms. For shorter reach applications with narrower load widths.

♦ 45" base: compatible with 30" and 36" arms. For medium-reach applications and loads of moderate width.

♦ 57" base: compatible with 42" and 48" arms. For the longest reach in the Series 1000 system, suited to wider or longer loads.

Upright height determines storage capacity and ceiling clearance. Taller uprights accommodate more arm levels and allow higher stack storage, but require greater ceiling clearance. Verify ceiling height before ordering 10' or 12' uprights.

To build a starter unit (one complete bay), order two uprights, the appropriate arms, and a brace set. To extend a row with an add-on unit, order one upright, arms, and a brace set. Arms and brace sets are available separately on the MECO Series 1000 components pages.
