MECO Omaha Drum Pallet Racks for Heavy-Duty Drum and Pallet Storage
MECO Omaha Drum Pallet Racks for Heavy-Duty Drum and Pallet Storage
MECO Omaha drum pallet racks provide organized, high-capacity storage for 30- and 55-gallon drums in warehouse, plant, and industrial storage environments. Each rack is built on all-welded 3-inch structural channel upright frames with bolt-on load beams and full-height punched uprights on 4-inch centers, allowing 2-inch vertical beam adjustability. Portable drum cradles made from 1-1/4" diameter tubing support drums at each beam level and help reduce drum wear. Cradles can be repositioned along the beams or removed entirely to convert any level to palletized material storage.
Two capacity configurations are available: a 3-level, 12-drum model and a 4-level, 16-drum model. Each comes as a starter unit or an add-on unit for row extension. Replacement and extra cradles are sold separately. All units finish in gray enamel.
Models and Specifications:
♦ DPR12 -- Starter Unit, 3 beam levels, 12-drum capacity -- 84" high x 105" wide -- 14,475 lb total capacity
♦ DPR12-A -- Add-on Unit, 3 beam levels, 12-drum capacity -- 84" high x 102" wide -- 14,475 lb total capacity
♦ DPR16 -- Starter Unit, 4 beam levels, 16-drum capacity -- 120" high x 105" wide -- 19,300 lb total capacity
♦ DPR16-A -- Add-on Unit, 4 beam levels, 16-drum capacity -- 120" high x 102" wide -- 19,300 lb total capacity
♦ DPRC -- Extra Drum Cradle -- 12" wide -- 800 lb capacity
Each beam level is rated at 4,825 lb. Use a starter unit to begin each row. Use add-on units to extend the row. The 3-inch width difference between starter and add-on units reflects the shared upright between adjacent bays.
Selecting the Right Configuration:
Choose the DPR12 series for standard ceiling heights or lower-volume drum storage. Choose the DPR16 series when ceiling height permits and higher drum capacity per row footprint is needed.
Both series accept the same DPRC drum cradles. Cradles can be added, repositioned, or removed independently at each level, allowing individual levels to be reconfigured for pallet storage without affecting adjacent levels. Order extra DPRC cradles when configuring levels for mixed drum sizes or when cradles will be shared across multiple beam levels.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Liquid and Chemical Drum Storage: Warehouses and plant storage areas holding 30- or 55-gallon drums of oils, lubricants, solvents, coatings, and industrial chemicals in organized rows on racks rather than floor-stacked or scattered.
♦ Maintenance and MRO Storage: Facilities storing drums of lubricants, hydraulic fluids, or cleaning compounds near production lines or maintenance bays where controlled access and inventory visibility are important.
♦ Distribution Centers with Drum Inventory: Operations receive and stage drums alongside palletized goods, using a removable cradle design to share rack space between drum and pallet levels based on the current inventory mix.
♦ Hazmat and Regulated Material Storage: Storage areas requiring organized, identified drum positions to support inspection, compliance, and secondary containment planning for regulated materials.
♦ High-Density Drum Storage: Facilities are replacing floor-stacked drum storage with vertical rack systems to recover floor space, improve aisle access, and reduce the handling required to retrieve interior drums from grouped floor storage.
