Logitrans EHSSI-Series Stainless Steel Straddle Stacker – Hygienic & Ergonomic Material Handling

The Logitrans EHSSI is a battery-powered lift, manual push straddle stacker built in AISI 316L stainless steel for hygienic production environments. It is the straddle-leg equivalent of the EHLIP stainless skid lift, combining full stainless-steel construction with electric lift and all-pallet compatibility for facilities that require both hygiene compliance and frequent powered stacking.

Straddle legs allow it to handle all pallet types, including closed-bottom pallets. Electric lift raises loads at the push of a button across six height options from 46" to 112", maintaining 2,200 lb capacity at all listed heights. The ergonomic handle supports a relaxed grip during manual pushing, and rounded corners protect surrounding surfaces and goods during transport.

All models share the same 6.5" fork span and 45" fork length. The only difference between models is the maximum lift height.

Built for Hygiene-Critical Environments:

Standard steel stackers corrode, trap contaminants in surface imperfections, and degrade during repeated washdown. The EHSSI eliminates those issues with full AISI 316L stainless steel construction, which resists corrosion, moisture, and the sanitizing agents used in food, pharmaceutical, beverage, and regulated production environments.

This makes the EHSSI the correct choice when your facility requires equipment that can be cleaned thoroughly alongside the production area without risk of corrosion, flaking, or contamination. It is the most capable stainless-steel stacker in the Logitrans range for pallet compatibility and lift-height coverage.

Choosing the Right Lift Height:

All six EHSSI models carry 2,200 lbs to their full rated height. Select based on the highest point you need to reach in your facility.

♦ EHSSI-1000-RF-46 -- 46" max lift height -- Standard work surface height, low staging, ergonomic positioning.
♦ EHSSI-1000-RF-54 -- 54" max lift height -- Single-level racking or elevated infeed conveyors above standard height.
♦ EHSSI-1000-RF-62 -- 62" max lift height -- Mid-level racking and elevated staging in hygienic production areas.
♦ EHSSI-1000-RF-80 -- 80" max lift height -- Second-level racking in facilities with taller storage configurations.
♦ EHSSI-1000-RF-96 -- 96" max lift height -- High-bay racking in washdown or regulated environments.
♦ EHSSI-1000-RF-112 -- 112" max lift height -- Maximum reach in the EHSSI range. Best for tall racking or multi-level storage up to approximately 9 feet 4 inches.

If there is any chance you will need to reach higher than your current configuration, select the next model up. If you are unsure which fits your facility, call 866-333-0728 or use the quote form.

Where the EHSSI Fits in the Logitrans Stainless Range:

Logitrans offers four stainless steel configurations across skid lifts and stackers. Here is where the EHSSI sits:

♦ HLIP Series -- Manual lift, stainless skid lift for open-bottom pallets only. Best for lower-frequency use where an electric lift is not needed.
♦ EHLIP Series -- Electric lift, stainless skid lift for open-bottom pallets only. Best for frequent lifting in hygienic environments where only open-bottom or skid pallets are used.
♦ HSI Series -- Manual lift, stainless stacker for standard pallets. Best for facilities where battery charging is impractical or not permitted.
♦ EHSSI Series -- Electric lift, stainless straddle stacker for all pallet types, including closed-bottom. Best when both high hygiene standards and broad pallet compatibility are required, with frequent powered lifting throughout the shift.

If your facility handles mixed pallet types in a washdown or regulated environment and operators are lifting frequently, the EHSSI is the correct selection.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the Logitrans stainless steel straddle stacker designed to do?
This hygienic straddle stacker is designed to lift, transport, and stack palletized loads in clean or corrosion-sensitive environments. Its stainless steel construction makes it especially suitable for industries where sanitation is critical. The straddle design allows it to handle pallets and skids with added stability and flexibility. It is a strong solution for facilities that need reliable pallet handling without sacrificing hygiene standards.
How does the straddle design improve pallet handling versatility?
The straddle legs allow the stacker to move around pallets and support different load configurations. This makes it easier to work with a variety of pallet widths and handling situations. It also improves stability when lifting and positioning loads at higher elevations. For operations requiring flexible pallet access in tight spaces, the straddle format offers clear advantages.
Why is stainless steel important for hygienic material handling equipment?
Stainless steel resists rust, corrosion, and damage from frequent cleaning and exposure to moisture. This is essential in food processing, pharmaceuticals, and other regulated environments. It also allows for easier sanitation, reducing the risk of contamination. A stainless stacker is built to perform reliably where standard steel equipment would quickly degrade.
Where is the EHSSI stacker most commonly used?
This type of equipment is widely used in food production plants, cold storage, commercial kitchens, and cleanroom-related distribution areas. It supports pallet stacking, staging, and internal transport in spaces that demand hygienic operation. Its controlled lifting performance makes it valuable in busy facilities that handle sensitive goods. Anywhere sanitation and pallet efficiency intersect, this stacker fits naturally.
What benefits does an electric lift provide in a hygienic stacker?
An electric lift reduces the physical effort required for frequent lifting, which improves operator comfort and productivity. It also supports smoother, more controlled load positioning, which is critical when handling delicate or high-value goods. Combined with manual maneuvering, it offers precision without unnecessary complexity. This makes daily pallet handling safer, cleaner, and more efficient.
