Pucel Bi-Fold Door Storage Cabinet
Pucel Bi-Fold Door Storage Cabinets | Space-Saving Industrial Storage, Fully Welded
Pucel bi-fold door storage cabinets solve a problem that conventional swing-door cabinets create in tight industrial spaces: doors that extend into aisles, block walkways, and get bent when carts and pallet jacks clip them in transit. The bi-fold door design folds back on itself, extending only 9" into the aisle when fully open, so the cabinet provides full access to its interior without requiring the wide swing clearance of a standard cabinet door.
Both models are 36" wide and 78" tall, shipping fully welded and fully assembled with a 3-point locking system and a built-in cylinder lock with two keys. Shelf capacity is 300 lb per shelf. The only selection variable is depth: 18" (BDSC-3678-18-4) or 24" (BDSC-3678-24-4).
Models and Specifications:
♦ BDSC-3678-18-4: 36" wide x 18" deep x 78" tall. 4 shelves. 300 lb per shelf.
♦ BDSC-3678-24-4: 36" wide x 24" deep x 78" tall. 4 shelves. 300 lb per shelf.
Selecting the Right Model:
♦ Depth, 18" vs. 24": The 18" depth keeps the cabinet footprint compact for positions where side clearance or front-to-back space in the room is constrained. At only 18" deep, the cabinet itself contributes less to the overall room footprint, which matters when multiple cabinets are installed in a maintenance room or narrow storage area. The 24" depth provides more shelf interior space for deeper items, larger bins, and equipment that needs additional front-to-back clearance on the shelf.
♦ Both models are identical in width, height, shelf count, shelf capacity, locking system, and construction. The bi-fold door and 9" projection are standard on both.
♦ 3-point locking system with built-in cylinder lock: Locks the door at the top, center, and bottom simultaneously. The built-in cylinder lock (two keys included) means no padlock is needed; it is integrated into the cabinet's design rather than added separately.
♦ Fully welded, ships assembled: No on-site assembly required. The welded frame maintains consistent door alignment and locking performance through daily use.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Narrow Maintenance Rooms and Corridors: Installing full-height storage in locations where a standard swing door would block walkway access or require doors to stay partially closed to keep the path clear.
♦ Aisle-End and Between-Machine Positions: Placing cabinets in production areas where the end of a machine row or aisle is the only available storage space, and where door projection into the active traffic path is unacceptable.
♦ Shared Tool and Supply Rooms: High-traffic rooms where multiple people access different cabinets simultaneously, and swing doors from adjacent units create congestion or collision risk.
♦ Areas with Forklift and Cart Traffic: Locations where powered industrial trucks, order pickers, or hand trucks pass close to cabinet locations, and standard swing doors are vulnerable to impact damage from passing equipment.
♦ High-Bay and Warehouse Storage: Positions along warehouse walls where cabinet doors open into the active bay create hazards for pedestrians or equipment, and a bi-fold design keeps the full aisle width clear.
