Pucel WBC-Series Wall-Bench Cabinet
Pucel WBC-Series All-Welded Wall-Bench Storage Cabinets
Pucel WBC-Series wall-bench cabinets are compact, all-welded 20-gauge steel cabinets designed to mount above workbenches or on walls, keeping small parts, supplies, and frequently used items organized, accessible, and locked without consuming floor space or cluttering the bench surface. At only 9" deep, these cabinets fit in positions where a full-depth cabinet would not, and their small footprint makes them appropriate for installations directly above benches, between equipment, or along narrow wall sections.
Four models span the lineup, with widths of 26-1/2" or 35-1/2", heights of 21", 24", or 30", and shelf counts from 2 to 6. A cylinder lock provides keyed access on all models. All-welded construction throughout provides more rigidity than assembled alternatives at this cabinet size. These are supplemental storage units suited for small parts, consumables, and daily-use supplies, not for primary storage of heavy tooling or high-capacity applications.
Models and Specifications:
♦ WBC-2621-4: 26-1/2" wide x 9" deep x 21" high. 4 shelves. Cylinder lock.
♦ WBC-2630-3: 26-1/2" wide x 9" deep x 30" high. 3 shelves. Cylinder lock.
♦ WBC-2630-6: 26-1/2" wide x 9" deep x 30" high. 6 shelves. Cylinder lock.
♦ WBC-3524-2: 35-1/2" wide x 9" deep x 24" high. 2 shelves. Cylinder lock.
Selecting the Right Model:
♦ Shelf count and spacing: Models with more shelves of the same height have tighter inter-shelf spacing. The WBC-2621-4 (4 shelves, 21" tall) and WBC-2630-6 (6 shelves, 30" tall) are best for small, flat, or short items such as aerosol cans, small parts bins, blister packs, and containers under 4" tall. The WBC-2630-3 (3 shelves, 30" tall) provides more generous shelf openings for slightly taller items. The WBC-3524-2 (2 shelves, 24" tall) provides the widest shelf surface and the most vertical clearance per shelf opening.
♦ Width: The 26-1/2" wide models suit positions above a standard workbench section or between structural elements. The 35-1/2"-wide WBC-3524-2 provides more horizontal storage surface per unit and suits positions where a wider cabinet fits.
♦ 9" depth: All models are 9" deep, which is significantly shallower than the 18"-36" depths of the floor cabinets in this section. Items stored must fit within 9" of front-to-back clearance. This depth suits small-parts organizers, spray bottles, safety supplies, documentation, and similar benchtop or wall storage items.
♦ Wall vs. bench mounting: These cabinets can be installed on a wall above the bench height or placed directly on a bench surface. Verify mounting hardware requirements with Pucel documentation. Wall mounting requires adequate stud or backing support for the combined weight of the cabinet and its contents.
♦ 20-gauge steel vs. 12-gauge alternatives: The WBC-Series is lighter-gauge than the floor cabinets in this section and is sized and priced accordingly for its application. It is the appropriate choice for compact, elevated auxiliary storage -- not for heavy tooling, production dies, or high-load applications, which should use the 12-gauge floor-standing or wall-mounted alternatives.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Above-Bench Small Parts Storage: Mounting a locked cabinet directly above a technician's bench for quick access to fasteners, consumables, small spare parts, and supplies without leaving the workstation or going to a central storage room.
♦ Between-Equipment Wall Positions: Filling narrow wall sections between machines, equipment stands, or structural elements with a compact locked cabinet that organizes supplies at the point of use without protruding into the aisle.
♦ Lab and Technical Bench Auxiliary Storage: Keeping laboratory consumables, small instruments, and reference materials in a locked cabinet directly at the bench where they are used, without adding a larger floor cabinet that would occupy space needed for equipment or personnel movement.
♦ Production Cell Consumable Storage: Organizing shift-specific consumables, small hand tools, and supplies at a production cell above the work surface, where the items can be restocked from a central location and accessed by operators without leaving the cell.
♦ Maintenance Quick-Access Positions: Mounting a small locked cabinet at frequently visited equipment locations to store the most commonly used consumables, lubricants, and small tools for that equipment, reducing the number of trips to the main tool crib for routine maintenance items.
