Pucel WC-Series All-Welded Wall Storage Cabinets | 18-Gauge Steel

Pucel WC-Series welded wall storage cabinets are built from extra-heavy-duty 18-gauge all-welded steel -- heavier gauge than the 20-gauge WBC-Series wall-bench cabinets-- and are positioned for industrial wall installations where a more rigid, durable enclosure is needed above benches or along shop walls. All three models are 27" tall and 14" deep, with flush double doors and 2-point locking. Width is the only selection variable: 30", 36", or 48".

At 14" deep, the WC-Series provides substantially more shelf interior than the 9"-deep WBC-Series, accommodating deeper items, larger containers, and equipment that needs more front-to-back room on the shelf. Each model includes one shelf.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Width: The 30" model suits tight wall positions between studs, equipment stands, or structural elements. The 36" model provides more shelf surface per unit for a slightly wider wall section. The 48" model is the widest in the lineup and provides the most interior storage per cabinet, suited to positions where a wider single cabinet is preferable to two narrower units.

♦ WC-Series vs. WBC-Series: The WC-Series is heavier gauge (18-gauge vs. 20-gauge), deeper (14" vs. 9"), and larger overall than the WBC-Series cabinets. The WBC-Series suits very compact positions and lighter-item storage with more shelf positions per cabinet height. The WC-Series suits positions needing a heavier, deeper cabinet with a single generous shelf opening. Both are wall or bench-mount configurations.

♦ 14" depth in context: At 14" deep, the WC-Series accommodates items up to approximately 13" in depth, which covers most small parts containers, tool cases, spray cans, safety equipment, and boxed supplies. It does not reach the 24"-36" depths of floor-standing cabinets, so items that require more front-to-back space belong in a floor cabinet.

♦ Flush double doors: Both doors open from the center outward for full-width access to the interior. Flush door construction keeps the cabinet profile clean for installations in visible or organized work areas.

♦ 2-point locking: Secures the door at two points simultaneously. Less complex than the 3-point systems on the heavy-duty floor cabinets, and appropriate for the lighter-duty wall-cabinet application where the primary need is controlled access rather than maximum physical security.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Maintenance Rooms and Shops: Mounting a locked steel cabinet above the workbench for frequently used supplies, small hand tools, and consumables that need to be kept organized and off the bench surface without occupying floor space.

♦ Above-Bench Chemical and Hazmat Supply Storage: Storing lubricants, aerosols, solvents, and cleaning supplies in a lockable wall cabinet that keeps them contained and secured above the bench rather than on open shelving, where they present a clutter and spill risk.

♦ Production Line Supply Positions: Installing a locked wall cabinet at a production cell or line section to hold the shift's supply of consumables, small replacement parts, and operating supplies within arm's reach of the operator without using floor space in the cell.

♦ Tool and Supply Storage in Tight Areas: Areas where floor cabinet footprints are not available -- narrow corridors, between equipment bays, in alcoves -- where a 14"-deep wall cabinet provides organized locked storage without protruding significantly into the work or walk area.

♦ Facility Maintenance and Janitorial Storage: Keeping cleaning supplies, maintenance chemicals, and small equipment locked and organized in a wall-mounted cabinet in maintenance closets, break rooms, or utility areas where floor space is fully committed.
