Strong Hold Adjustable Dividers Cabinet Steel Industrial Storage

Strong Hold Adjustable Dividers Cabinets | 42 Vertical Dividers, 12-Gauge Steel | CustomMHS
Standard industrial cabinets are organized by shelf height. The Strong Hold Adjustable Dividers Cabinet organizes in two dimensions: six adjustable 14-gauge shelves that reposition in 2" increments, plus 42 vertical dividers that separate the shelf surface into defined sections for tools, parts, machine components, and supplies. The result is a locked steel cabinet where every item has a specific position that can be changed as inventory changes, rather than a flat shelf that requires bins or secondary organizers to keep contents from mixing.
The cabinet body is all-welded 12-gauge steel. Shelves are 21-1/2" deep within a 24"-deep cabinet. The 3-point locking system includes an integrated padlock hasp for additional security. Welded 6"-tall, 7-gauge legs bring the overall assembly height to 78" (nominal cabinet height 72") and support repositioning without structural strain. Four widths are available: 36", 48", 60", and 72". All models ship fully assembled.
Shelf capacity varies by width. Review the specific model before ordering, particularly for the 48" wide model, which carries a lower per-shelf rating than the other widths.
Models and Specifications:
♦ 36-246PH/42VD: 36" wide x 24" deep x 72" high (78" OAH). 6 adjustable shelves. 42 vertical dividers. 1,425 pounds per shelf.
♦ 46-246PH/42VD: 48" wide x 24" deep x 72" high (78" OAH). 6 adjustable shelves. 42 vertical dividers. 900 pounds per shelf.
♦ 56-246PH-42VD: 60" wide x 24" deep x 72" high (78" OAH). 6 adjustable shelves. 42 vertical dividers. 1,225 pounds per shelf.
♦ 66-246PH/42VD: 72" wide x 24" deep x 72" high (78" OAH). 6 adjustable shelves. 42 vertical dividers. 1,125 pounds per shelf.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Width and shelf capacity: The 36" wide model carries the highest per-shelf rating at 1,425 pounds. The 48" wide model (46-246PH/42VD) drops to 900 pounds per shelf, which is the lowest of any Strong Hold cabinet on this site. The 60" and 72" wide models fall between 1,225 and 1,125 pounds, respectively. If the items being stored per shelf are heavy, the 36" wide model or 60"/72" models are preferable to the 48" wide model for per-shelf load.
♦ Width and divider density: The 42 vertical dividers are distributed across 6 shelves regardless of cabinet width. In a 36" wide cabinet, the same 42 dividers create narrower compartments per shelf. In a 72" wide cabinet, the same dividers create wider compartments. Consider how many sections are needed per shelf and how wide each section needs to be when choosing the cabinet width.
♦ Shelf count and 2" adjustment centers: Six adjustable shelves at 2" increment positioning allow fine-grained control over interior layout. This is the most shelf positions of any cabinet in the Strong Hold lineup covered here and suits operations storing many different item heights that need to be separated from each other vertically as well as laterally.
♦ 6" welded legs, 7-gauge: Heavier-gauge leg construction than standard floor-standing cabinets. The 6" height clears most floor debris and allows forklift tines to slide under for repositioning without a pallet.
♦ 3-point locking with padlock hasp: The integrated padlock hasp allows a separately keyed padlock to be used in addition to the built-in 3-point lock, providing two independent locking mechanisms for environments requiring the highest level of physical access control on stored inventory.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Machine Component and Spare Parts Organization: Keeping individual machine parts, fasteners, fittings, and components sorted by type, size, or machine assignment in defined vertical divider sections, so parts are retrievable without sorting through mixed inventory on open shelves.
♦ Cutting Tool and Toolholder Storage: Organizing end mills, inserts, boring bars, and toolholders in divided sections by size, material, or machine assignment, with adjustable shelf heights accommodating different tool lengths and configurations.
♦ Maintenance Parts Cribs: A locked, organized crib for spare parts and consumables where dividers keep part types separated by shelf position, reducing picking errors and allowing inventory levels to be visually assessed at a glance when the cabinet is open.
♦ Production Changeover Kits: Storing complete changeover kits for different products or jobs in defined cabinet sections, where each section holds the tooling and supplies for one job, so changeover retrieval is fast and complete without hunting across multiple storage locations.
♦ Small Equipment and Instrument Storage: Organizing precision instruments, gauges, test equipment, and calibration tools in defined sections that keep items from contacting each other and make it immediately obvious when something is missing from its assigned position.
♦ High-Security Tool Accountability: The dual-lock configuration (3-point built-in plus padlock hasp) suits environments where tool accountability is a compliance or contractual requirement and where two independent locking mechanisms are specified for controlled-access inventory.
