Strong Hold On-Site See-Thru Cabinets

Strong Hold On-Site See-Thru Cabinets | Clear-View Doors with 6 Heavy-Duty Drawers
The Strong Hold On-Site See-Thru cabinet is the only cabinet in the CustomMHS lineup that combines clear-view doors with built-in heavy-duty drawers. The upper section features 14-gauge adjustable shelves at 21-1/2" deep, visible through the clear-view doors so contents can be confirmed without opening the cabinet. The lower section contains six heavy-duty drawers, each rated at 400 pounds, for organized storage of hand tools, small components, and supplies that store better in drawers than on open shelves.
The result is a single locked cabinet that accommodates both shelf-stored equipment and drawer-organized tooling within a single footprint, with visual inventory confirmation for the shelf section through the clear-view doors. Construction is all-welded 12-gauge steel with a 3-point locking system and padlock hasp. Welded 6" 7-gauge legs bring the overall assembly height to 78" (nominal 72"). All models are 24" deep. Three widths are available: 48", 60", and 72".

Selecting the Right Model:
♦ Width: The selection is based on the amount of shelf and drawer space needed. The 48" model provides a compact combined storage unit suitable for a single work area or bay position. The 60" model adds lateral shelf and drawer space for a larger inventory of tools and supplies. The 72" model provides the most storage surface per cabinet, suited to tool cribs, MRO rooms, or positions where the widest possible combined drawer and shelf storage is required in a single locked footprint.
♦ Drawers vs. shelves configuration: All three models include the same 6-drawer lower section and clear-view shelved upper section. The proportional split between drawer and shelf space does not change by width -- only the lateral width of each section increases. If the primary storage need is drawers, consider whether the Rousseau modular drawer cabinets (available in a wide range of drawer configurations) better suit the application. If the primary need is shelving with some drawer capacity, this cabinet provides both in a single locked visible-content format.
♦ 400 pounds per drawer: A genuinely heavy-duty drawer rating. Most standard drawer cabinets in the industrial market are rated at 75-150 pounds per drawer. The 400-pound rating per drawer makes this appropriate for storing heavy wrenches, impact tools, hydraulic tooling, and dense parts assortments that would overload standard drawer storage.
♦ Clear-view door panel over the shelf section: Visual inventory confirmation is available for the shelf section only. The drawers are opaque steel and require opening to see the contents. This is the standard configuration for a cabinet combining drawers and clear-view doors.
♦ 78" OAH: Verify overhead clearance at the installation location. The 6" welded legs bring the assembly height 6" above the nominal 72" cabinet height.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Tool Cribs with Mixed Storage Needs: A tool crib that stocks both large shelved equipment (power tools, extension cords, large wrenches) and small organized hand tool sets benefits from the combined shelf and drawer format in a single locked cabinet, rather than requiring separate drawer and shelf cabinets in the same position.
♦ Maintenance Departments with Heavy Tooling: The 400-pound-per-drawer rating accommodates heavy specialty tools, hydraulic equipment, and dense parts sets that would overload standard drawer storage, while the shelf section handles larger items that don't fit in drawers.
♦ Production Floor Point-of-Use Storage: A visible, locked cabinet at a machine or production cell that holds larger items on the shelves (visible through the clear doors for quick confirmation) and small organized components and tooling in the drawers, reducing the number of separate storage units at the point of use.
♦ MRO and Supply Rooms: Combining visible shelf inventory with organized drawer storage of small parts, consumables, and components in a single high-capacity locked cabinet makes visual management and restocking more efficient than separate shelf and drawer units.
♦ Job Site and Field Operations: Where a single portable, locked, organized storage cabinet needs to handle both shelved equipment and drawer-stored tooling at a temporary or semi-permanent work location, the legged format allows repositioning by forklift or pallet jack as site needs change.
