Strong Hold Stainless Steel Broom Closet Cabinet

Strong Hold Stainless Steel Broom Closet Cabinet

Strong Hold Stainless Steel Broom Closet Cabinets | Split Interior, 12-Gauge Stainless

Strong Hold stainless steel broom closet cabinets bring the split-interior janitorial storage format to 12-gauge all-welded stainless steel construction for facilities where painted carbon steel cabinets are subject to corrosion from washdowns, cleaning agents, moisture, and daily sanitation protocols. One side of the interior provides full-height open space for brooms, mops, and other long-handled cleaning tools to stand upright. The other side is fitted with adjustable 14-gauge shelves on 2" centers for paper products, cleaners, brushes, and supplies. Shelves are removable to accommodate large pails, floor scrubbers, and other bulky cleaning equipment.

Double doors, 6" 7-gauge welded legs, and a 3-point locking system are standard. Shelf capacity varies by width: 1,150 pounds at 36" wide, 700 pounds at 48" wide, 975 pounds at 60" wide, and 850 pounds at 72" wide. Four widths and two heights make up the seven-model lineup.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Width and shelf capacity: the 36"-wide model carries 1,150 pounds per shelf, the highest in this lineup. The 48"-wide models carry 700 pounds per shelf. The 60"-wide models carry 975 pounds per shelf. The 72"-wide models carry 850 pounds per shelf. Choose a width based on the floor footprint available and the amount of lateral space needed in both the long-handle section and the shelving section.

♦ Height, 60" vs. 72" nominal, the 60"-nominal models (66" OAH) include 3 adjustable shelves and suit positions with lower overhead clearance or where a shorter cabinet profile is preferred. The 72"-nominal models (78" OAH) include 4 shelves, providing one additional shelf position for more organized supply storage. Choose based on available ceiling clearance and the amount of shelf storage required for cleaning supplies.

♦ Removable shelves for large pails and equipment: the shelves on the supply side can be removed entirely to create open floor space for large mop buckets, wet-dry vacuums, floor scrubbing machines, and other bulky items that won't fit between standard shelf positions. This reconfigurability is a functional advantage over fixed-shelf bin cabinets when the cleaning equipment inventory changes.

♦ Stainless vs. carbon steel broom closet cabinet, the carbon steel Strong Hold janitorial cabinet uses the same interior layout and shelf capacity pattern at a substantially lower price. Choose the stainless format when the cabinet is located in a washdown zone, food processing area, pharmaceutical facility, or any environment where routine sanitation with water and cleaning chemicals would degrade a painted steel surface. Choose the carbon steel format for standard industrial environments where corrosion is not a concern.

♦ Long-handle section width: wider cabinets provide more lateral space in the long-handle section for organizing more tools side by side. In the 36"-wide model, the long-handle section is narrower; in the 72"-wide model, it is considerably wider. Verify the approximate section width with Strong Hold if a specific number of long-handled tools must be stored without crowding.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Food Processing and Meat Processing Facilities, facilities conducting daily or shift-end washdowns of floors, drains, and walls, store cleaning tools and supplies in stainless broom closet cabinets that resist the moisture and chemical exposure of the washdown environment without degrading or failing sanitation inspections.

♦ Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Janitorial Stations, pharmaceutical facilities with controlled cleaning protocols store approved mops, brooms, cleaning agents, and sanitation supplies in designated stainless cabinets at cleaning stations where painted steel would not meet the facility's material compliance specification.

♦ Hospital and Healthcare Environmental Services, environmental services departments in healthcare facilities store cleaning carts, mops, brooms, and regulated cleaning chemicals in stainless cabinets that can be disinfected alongside the cleaning tools they hold, without surface degradation from disinfectant chemicals.

♦ Food Service and Commercial Kitchen Support Areas: commercial kitchens and food service operations that clean with hot water, steam, and industrial cleaning chemicals need janitorial storage that withstands those conditions without rusting at wall mounts, hinge points, or shelf surfaces.

♦ Beverage and Dairy Processing Plants, dairy and beverage processing environments with high ambient humidity and regular chemical sanitation cycles use stainless broom closets to keep cleaning equipment organized, locked, and protected from the same corrosive conditions that the equipment itself is used to clean.
