MFG Fiberglass Conveyor Trays | Standard, Drop Side, and Drop End Configurations

MFG Fiberglass Conveyor Tray – Durable, Heat-Resistant Trays for Industrial Material Handling
MFG fiberglass conveyor trays are flat-bottom, low-profile trays designed to carry parts smoothly through conveyor systems, indexing equipment, rack systems, and manual handling workflows. The flat bottom ensures consistent contact with conveyor rails, rollers, and belts. Low wall heights keep parts accessible during assembly, inspection, and processing without lifting the tray off the line.
Fiberglass construction maintains its shape through temperature cycles, chemical exposure, and years of high-cycle use, while plastic trays warp and metal trays corrode or damage sensitive parts. These trays are used in assembly lines, automated handling systems, coating and finishing operations, cleanrooms, and food processing environments, where consistent tray geometry and surface integrity are critical throughout the service life.
Twenty-nine models are available in footprints from 7-1/2" to 47-5/8" long, in four corner profile types, and in standard, drop side, and drop end configurations. Prices are shown by manufacturer model number for straightforward competitor comparison.
Understanding Corner Profiles:
Each model on this page carries a corner profile designation of A, B, C, or D. The corner profile determines how the tray edge is shaped and how it interfaces with conveyor guides, rack slots, and adjacent trays. Profile selection is typically driven by the equipment or rack system the tray will run in.
♦ Profile A -- Rounded corner with a standard edge profile. The most common general-purpose conveyor tray profile.
♦ Profile B -- Modified corner geometry for conveyor systems with specific guide rail or stop configurations that Profile A does not fit.
♦ Profile C -- Corner profile designed for applications where the tray interfaces with a different guide or support geometry than A or B.
♦ Profile D -- Includes the drop-side and drop-end tray models alongside standard trays, supporting rack systems and conveyor lanes where side or end access to the tray during loading and unloading is required.
If you are selecting trays for an existing conveyor or rack system, confirm which corner profile your equipment requires before ordering. If you are unsure, contact us at 866-333-0728 with your equipment specifications, and we will help identify the correct profile.
Standard vs. Drop Side vs. Drop End Trays:
♦ Standard trays have fixed walls on all four sides and are loaded and unloaded by lifting the tray or sliding parts on and off the flat surface. These work in most conveyor and manual handling applications where access from above is sufficient.
♦ Drop-side trays (600108, 600208) have one or both long sides that fold down or are recessed, allowing the tray to slide in and out of rack slots or conveyor guides from the side without lifting.
♦ Drop end trays (600308) have one or both short ends that fold down or are recessed, allowing entry and exit from the end of a rack or conveyor lane. Used when the loading direction requires end access rather than side access.
How to Select the Right Model:
With 29 models across four corner profiles and three configuration types, selection is driven by your conveyor or equipment specifications. Have these dimensions ready before contacting us or placing an order: outside length and width to fit within your conveyor guide rails or indexer slots, overall height to clear any overhead sensors or guides, and your required corner profile.
The table on this page shows outside dimensions for every model. Individual product pages show additional detail. Call 866-333-0728 or use the quote form if you need help matching a tray to your equipment.
Where MFG Conveyor Trays Are Most Commonly Used:
♦ Production and assembly lines -- Trays carry subassemblies, machined parts, PCBs, and components from station to station where consistent positioning and smooth conveyor movement are required throughout the production cycle.
♦ Automated and robotic handling systems -- Dimensional stability over years of use ensures trays interface reliably with fixed pick points, vision systems, and robotic end effectors. Plastic trays that warp over time cause pick failures and stoppages.
♦ Coating, plating, and finishing operations -- Fiberglass resists the chemicals, plating solutions, and cleaning agents used in surface treatment processes and maintains its shape through drying and curing cycles.
♦ Cleanroom production -- Smooth fiberglass surfaces resist particle generation and can be cleaned to cleanroom standards for semiconductor, medical device, and pharmaceutical production environments.
♦ Rack and storage systems -- Drop-side and drop-end models allow trays to be slid in and out of rack positions without lifting, speeding handling in high-cycle storage and retrieval operations.
