MFG Fiberglass Wash Box Containers

MFG fiberglass wash box containers are purpose-built for parts washing, rinsing, draining, and drying in industrial environments. Drain holes in the base and slotted sidewalls allow wash solution and rinse water to flow freely, reducing dwell time and eliminating pooling inside the container. Fiberglass construction resists the chemicals, oils, and cleaning agents used in industrial washing operations and holds its shape across continuous service temperatures from -60°F to 250°F, with intermittent tolerance to 300°F.

Nest and Stack vs. Stack Only -- Which Configuration Do You Need:

Three models (705348, 705148, 705248) use a nest-and-stack design: they stack when full and nest with a 180-degree turn when empty, reducing storage space for empties. Seven models are stack-only: they stack at a single fixed position and do not nest. The Description column in the table identifies the type of each model.

If empty containers accumulate frequently between wash cycles and storage space is limited, nest-and-stack models recover significantly more floor space. If containers run nearly continuously or empty storage is not a concern, stack-only models are appropriate and typically lower-cost.

MFG Fiberglass vs. Stainless Steel Wash Baskets:

Stainless steel wire wash baskets are the standard choice for precision parts cleaning when contamination control and compatibility with aggressive chemicals are the highest priorities. MFG fiberglass wash boxes are the appropriate choice when solid-sided containment is preferred during washing, when parts need to be staged and transported in the same container before and after cleaning, or when the cost of stainless steel baskets is not justified by the application. Fiberglass does not corrode or rust and holds up well in most standard aqueous wash chemistries.

Where MFG Wash Box Containers Are Most Commonly Used:

♦ Parts washing and rinsing -- Drain holes and slotted sides allow wash solution to contact all part surfaces and drain freely at the end of the cycle. Parts stay in the container throughout washing, rinsing, and initial drying without transfer.

♦ Post-process drying and staging -- After washing, containers move directly to a drying area. The open-drain design accelerates drying by allowing air to circulate around parts and preventing moisture from pooling at the bottom.

♦ Work-in-process handling -- The same container that holds parts through the wash cycle can carry them to the next production stage, eliminating the transfer step and reducing handling risk.

♦ Chemical and finishing environments -- Fiberglass resists oils, mild solvents, plating rinse solutions, and cleaning agents common in machining, fabrication, and surface treatment operations.
