The Hallowell A5520-18 Hi-Tech 5-Shelf Stockroom Shelving (Add-On Unit) is a heavy-duty, closed shelving solution built to expand an existing Hi-Tech shelving run. Start your row with a compatible starter unit, then add this closed adder to extend the line with enclosed side and back panels—ideal for stockrooms, maintenance areas, distribution backrooms, and industrial storage where you want a cleaner footprint and better item control.
This unit is designed for serious load handling. Each shelf is rated at 800 lbs and reinforced with a tubular welded box beam front and rear, plus Hallowell’s exclusive triple-bend side flanges to keep shelves rigid under heavy inventory. Lapped and welded corners improve overall shelf integrity, and shelf tops are punched to accept dividers so you can organize parts, bins, cartons, tools, and gear without wasting space.
Shelves install fast using only four shelf clips per shelf, and posts are punched on 1-1/2" centers for precise height adjustment. The system also supports multiple post styles, making it easy to build out rows that match your layout and workload.
