Jesco Husky Super Heavy Duty Self-Dumping Hoppers

Jesco Husky Super Heavy Duty Self-Dumping Hoppers | 1/4 to 2.5 Cubic Yards, Up to 6,000 Pounds
Jesco Husky super heavy-duty self-dumping hoppers are the highest-capacity series in the Jesco hopper lineup, reaching 6,000 pounds on the 1.0-yard through 2.0-yard models. The Husky designation indicates reinforced construction beyond the extra-duty series heavier-gauge steel, a formed base to withstand repeated high-load fork-pocket stress, and built-in durability for the most demanding scrap collection and disposal applications.
The Husky series is also the only Jesco series that includes the small-volume compact formats (1/4, 1/3, and 1/2 yard) at a 4,000-pound capacity, useful when a compact hopper is needed for a tight collection position where the material density demands more than the 2,000-pound heavy-duty rating, but the volume needed is small.
Selecting the Right Hopper:
♦ Volume and capacity by model, the 1/4-yard (211301), 1/3-yard (211305), and 1/2-yard (211311) models carry 4,000 pounds each -- the compact high-capacity formats. The 3/4-yard (211321) carries 5,000 pounds. The 1.0-yard (211331) through 2.0-yard (211351 and 211356) models carry 6,000 pounds. The 2.5-yard (211361) models carry 4,000 pounds
♦ Two configurations at 1.5 yards, the 211341 (62" L x 59-1/2" W x 37" H) is wider and shorter; the 211346 (64" L x 46-1/2" W x 46" H) is narrower and taller. Both hold 1.5 cubic yards at 6,000 pounds. Choose the wide/short configuration when floor clearance and overhead height are not constraints, and a wider footprint is acceptable. Choose the narrow/tall configuration when a narrower footprint is required, but the taller height fits within the available space and dumping clearance.
♦ Two configurations at 2.0 yards, the same principle applies: the 211351 (64" L x 59-1/2" W x 46" H) is wider; the 211356 (64" L x 46-1/2" W x 51" H) is narrower and taller. Both are rated at 6,000 pounds. Choose based on the floor footprint constraints at the collection position.
♦ Husky vs. extra duty at matching volumes, the extra duty series covers 1.0 to 4.0 yards at 4,000 pounds. The Husky series covers 1.0 to 2.0 yards at 5,000 to 6,000 pounds at those sizes. For 1.0-yard to 2.0-yard applications where the 4,000-pound extra-duty limit is insufficient, the Husky series provides the higher capacity. For 3.0-yard and 4.0-yard applications, only the extra duty series is available; the Husky does not extend to those volumes.
♦ Small-volume high-capacity formats, only the Husky series offers the 1/4, 1/3, and 1/2-yard compact formats at 4,000-pound capacity. The extra duty series has no small-volume models. If the application requires a compact hopper with more than the 2,000-pound capacity of the heavy-duty series, the Husky compact models (211301, 211305, 211311) are the only option in the Jesco lineup.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Heavy Foundry and Casting Operations, foundries collecting extremely dense metal scrap -- large castings, sprues, and risers in smaller volumes use the compact Husky models (1/4 to 1/2 yard) where the material weight reaches 4,000 pounds at a small physical volume, exceeding the capacity of both the heavy-duty and extra duty small-volume formats.
♦ High-Capacity Scrap Collection at Production Cells, production cells generating 1.0 to 2.0 cubic yards of dense scrap per shift, use the 6,000-pound Husky models to collect the full shift's scrap without concern for exceeding the hopper's weight rating before the scheduled forklift pickup.
♦ Heavy Metalworking and Forging Operations, forging operations where large, dense forgings and trim scrap are collected between press cycles, use the 5,000 to 6,000-pound Husky models to handle the weight of forged metal scrap without reaching the capacity limit before the hopper is full.
♦ Tight-Space High-Density Collection, machining cells or workstations with tight floor clearance where the wide/short models (211341, 211351) don't fit, but the narrow/tall alternatives (211346, 211356) can be positioned in the available space while providing the same 6,000-pound capacity and cubic volume.
♦ Recycling and Scrap Processing: scrap processors collecting sorted metal by type use the Husky models, where the density of the specific metal being collected (copper, brass, cast iron, stainless steel) would exceed the 4,000-pound extra-duty rating before the hopper reaches its cubic volume capacity.
