Presto Lifts M800 Series Hand Operated Stackers

Presto Lifts M800 Series Hand Operated Stackers

Presto Lifts M800 Series Hand Operated Stackers | Two-Piston Hand Pump, 50" to 76" Lift

The Presto Lifts M800 Series hand-operated stackers use a two-piston hand pump mechanism for lifting, providing approximately 1/2" of platform travel per pump stroke for precise height control. Unlike the foot-operated M Series stackers, the M800 Series is operated entirely by hand. The two-piston pump provides efficient lifting without foot-pedal cycling. A variable control hand release allows smooth, controlled lowering.

Construction features include 1-1/2" thick x 3" wide solid steel forks adjustable from 6-1/2" to 26-1/2" outside diameter, a 14" high fork back, and a dual leaf-type chain with an 8,250 lb yield point. A foot-operated floor lock stabilizes the unit during loading and unloading. A perforated metal safety screen separates the operator from the raised load. High-impact phenolic wheels protect floors under repeated daily movement. An optional 32" x 30" slip-on platform converts the stacker to a flat-surface lift for non-palletized loads.

Three models are available at the same capacity, all lowering to 3-1/4" and differing only in maximum raised height.

Models and Specifications:

♦ M852-2000, 1-1/2" x 3" solid steel forks, adjustable 6-1/2" to 26-1/2" O.D. Raised height 3-1/4" to 50". Overall unit: 66"H, 33"W, 51"L. Base legs 26" I.D., 32" O.D. Two-piston hand pump, 1/2" per stroke. Foot-operated floor lock, perforated safety screen, phenolic wheels. Optional 32"x30" slip-on platform available.

♦ M866-2000, 1-1/2" x 3" solid steel forks, adjustable 6-1/2" to 26-1/2" O.D. Raised height 3-1/4" to 64". Overall unit: 80"H, 33"W, 51"L. Base legs 26" I.D., 32" O.D. Same specification as M852-2000 at a greater height.

♦ M878-2000, 1-1/2" x 3" solid steel forks, adjustable 6-1/2" to 26-1/2" O.D. Raised height 3-1/4" to 76". Overall unit: 92"H, 33"W, 51"L. Base legs 26" I.D., 32" O.D. Same specification as M852-2000 at greatest raised height. The tallest model in the M800 Series at 76" maximum suited for elevated rack positions and multi-level staging.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Maximum raised height: 50", 64", or 76". The only difference between the three models is the maximum raised height. Select based on the highest rack position or the required stacking height. For any application requiring elevated rack loading above 50" or 64", choose the M866-2000 or M878-2000, respectively. If in doubt, choose the taller model.

♦ Hand pump vs. foot-operated M Series, the M800 Series uses a two-piston hand pump for lifting, providing hands-on control throughout the lift cycle. The foot-operated M Series (M1/M2/M3/M4, path 353_2664_2741) uses a foot pedal pump, keeping hands free during lifting. Choose a hand pump when precise incremental control via hand operation is preferred; choose a foot-operated pump when hands-free lifting is important for the application.

♦ Optional slip-on platform: the 32"x30" slip-on platform extends the M800 Series for non-palletized load handling. If the application involves both fork-based pallet lifting and flat-surface lifting of bins or equipment, the optional platform provides both capabilities without purchasing a separate platform stacker.

♦ Fork adjustment, the forks adjust from 6-1/2" to 26-1/2" outside diameter. Verify the fork setting fits within the pallet entry opening before use. The 14" fork back provides a backstop for loads being raised on the forks.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Warehouse Pallet Rack Loading at 50" to 76" Heights, warehouse operations loading palletized goods into rack positions at heights of 50" to 76" use the M800 Series as a manual alternative to powered stackers or forklifts for lower-frequency rack loading at these heights.

♦ Precise Incremental Height Positioning, applications requiring fine height adjustment during the lift cycle, such as aligning a pallet with a conveyor or dock position, use the 1/2" per stroke two-piston pump for the incremental control that foot-operated stackers or powered stackers may not provide in tight spaces.

♦ Production and Staging Pallet Handling: production support and staging areas, positioning palletized materials at elevated work positions, use the M800 Series for reliable manual hand-pump stacking without requiring powered equipment.

♦ Optional Platform for Mixed Load Operations, facilities handling both palletized and non-palletized loads use the M800 Series with the optional slip-on platform to consolidate pallet stacking and flat-surface lifting into a single piece of equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are Presto Lifts M800 series hand-operated stackers used for?
Presto Lifts M800 series hand-operated stackers are manual lifting solutions designed to raise, transport, and position palletized loads in industrial environments. They are ideal for light-duty stacking, staging, and workstation feeding tasks without requiring electric power. These stackers deliver reliable performance for facilities that require ergonomic lifting at a smaller scale. They are a practical option for efficient pallet handling and material positioning.
How does manual hand-operated lifting improve ergonomics?
Hand-operated lifting allows operators to raise loads smoothly while reducing the need for heavy manual lifting from floor level. By bringing pallets up to a comfortable working height, these stackers help minimize bending and awkward reaching. This improves posture and reduces fatigue during long shifts. Ergonomic lifting contributes to safer operations and more consistent productivity.
What makes the M800 series a dependable manual stacking solution?
The M800 series is built for durability and controlled lifting performance in daily industrial use. Its manual design provides straightforward operation and requires less maintenance than powered equipment. Operators can position loads accurately using smooth lift control. This makes the stacker a reliable, cost-effective choice for light pallet handling needs.
Where do Presto M800 hand stackers perform best?
These stackers perform well in warehouses, workshops, stockrooms, and production areas where forklifts may not be necessary. They are especially useful in tight spaces or for occasional stacking and material transport. The compact design supports easy maneuverability around workstations and staging zones. Any operation needing ergonomic manual pallet handling can benefit from this equipment.
How do these stackers support workflow efficiency?
By lifting loads to an accessible working height, operators can handle materials faster and with less strain. Precise positioning reduces wasted motion and improves workstation organization. Stable manual lifting also helps reduce product damage and handling errors. Over time, this leads to smoother workflow and better daily throughput.
