Jamco DL Series Heavy-Duty Metal Storage Cabinets

Jamco DL Series heavy-duty metal storage cabinets are built for industrial environments where shelf capacity, structural rigidity, and secure access control are the primary requirements. At 1,000 lb per shelf across five shelf positions (four adjustable, one fixed), these cabinets handle significantly heavier loads than the 200-400 lb rated alternatives common in standard industrial cabinet lines. That capacity is suited to die storage, heavy tooling, dense parts assortments, and equipment that would overload lighter-rated shelving.

Construction is welded steel throughout. The 3-point locking system secures the door at three points simultaneously, and the door opens to 180 degrees, swinging flat against the cabinet sides for unobstructed full-width access to the interior. All models are 78" tall with four selection variables: width (36", 48", or 60") and depth (18" or 24").

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Width: The 36" wide models suit standard wall runs and tight bay positions. The 48" wide model provides more shelf surface per unit for operations that prefer fewer, wider cabinets. The 60" wide DL260 is the largest single-cabinet option in the lineup, suited to applications where maximum shelf area in a single locked footprint is the priority.

♦ Depth, 18" vs. 24": The 18" depth (DL136 only) suits positions where front-to-back clearance is limited. The 24" depth across the DL236, DL248, and DL260 provides more interior shelf space for deeper dies, larger containers, and equipment that needs additional front-to-back room.

♦ 180-degree door opening: Doors that open flat to 180 degrees allow the full cabinet width to be accessed without obstruction from a partially open door. This matters when retrieving wide items or when the cabinet is positioned in a corner or tight wall run where a door can't fully clear.

♦ 3-point locking: Simultaneous locking at three points provides stronger door security than single-point systems and maintains door alignment against the frame more reliably under repeated use.

♦ 4 adjustable plus 1 fixed shelf: The fixed shelf provides a stable base, while the 4 adjustable shelves can be repositioned on standard centers to accommodate varying item heights as storage needs change.
