Little Giant All-Welded Combination Cabinets | Shelved Section and Open Section, Diamond Mesh

Little Giant all-welded combination cabinets divide the interior into two storage zones within a single diamond mesh enclosure: one side holds two half-shelves sized for smaller tools, parts, and supplies; the other side is a full-height open section without shelves, suited for taller, bulkier items that need vertical space. Both sections are accessed through doors that swing a full 270 degrees and lock with a padlockable slide latch. The entire cabinet body is made of expanded-metal diamond mesh, providing airflow and partial visibility throughout.

The combination format suits applications where two different categories of items need secure mesh storage in the same cabinet, organized shelved storage on one side, and open floor-to-ceiling space on the other, without requiring two separate units. All models are 78" overall height, 72" interior height, with 4" under-clearance for pallet truck or forklift transport. Ships fully assembled and ready to use.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Width, 24" vs. 30", the 24"-wide models suit tighter positions. The 30"-wide models provide more lateral space across both the shelved and open sections. The 3" difference in overall width (27" vs. 33") accounts for wall thickness and is the dimension that governs installation footprint.

♦ Length, 48" vs. 60", the 48"-long models (49" overall) suit positions where depth clearance is more constrained. The 60"-long models (61" overall) provide more depth in the open section for longer items and more shelf area in the shelved section.

♦ Combination vs. standard SLN/SL series: the standard SLN/SL series provides a uniform interior, all shelved or all open, in up to 36"-wide and 72"-long configurations. The combination cabinet provides the shelved/open split within a more compact footprint and is limited to 24" or 30" wide and 48" or 60" long. Choose the combination format when two distinct storage functions are needed in a single locked unit at a single floor position.

♦ Half-shelves vs. full-length shelves: the shelved side of this cabinet uses two half-shelves that span only a portion of the cabinet's length; they are positioned in one section, while the remaining length is an open full-height zone. This is different from the SL series shelves, which run the full internal length of the cabinet. 

♦ 270-degree door swing, same as the SLN and SL-A series doors, folds back flat against the sides of the cabinet when fully open, requiring lateral clearance rather than front clearance for door swing.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Mixed Small and Bulky Item Storage: operations storing a combination of small organized parts or tools (on the half-shelves) alongside larger equipment, rolled materials, or upright long-handled items (in the open section) that can't share a single shelved interior layout.

♦ Tool and Equipment Cribs with Size Variation, crib applications where some items fit neatly on shelves and others are too tall or irregular for standard shelf positions, benefit from the split interior without needing two separate cabinets.

♦ Temporary or Relocatable Secured Storage: the 4" forklift clearance allows the loaded cabinet to be repositioned as a unit, making it suitable for semi-permanent deployment at positions that change periodically during production layout updates or facility reorganizations.

♦ Ventilated Storage for Mixed Item Types: Applications requiring both airflow and partial visibility for a mix of smaller supply items and larger equipment benefit from the mesh enclosure, which provides consistent ventilation and visibility throughout both sections simultaneously.
