Little Giant visible contents welded storage cabinets are the counter-height version of the Little Giant all-welded diamond mesh security cabinet lineup. The interior height of 46-1/2", roughly half the 72" interior of the full-height SLN/SL series, makes these units suitable for workbench-height or under-counter installations, or for applications where a shorter, more accessible cabinet is preferred over a full floor-to-ceiling enclosure.

Construction is the same all-welded diamond mesh as the full-height series: 3/4" x 1-3/4" openings throughout, 270-degree door swing, padlockable slide latch, and durable powder-coat finish. The footpads include lag holes for permanent floor anchoring. Four shelf configurations are available no shelf, one fixed center shelf, one adjustable center shelf (adjustable in 3-1/2" increments and fully removable), or two fixed shelves. Three widths (24", 30", 36") and three lengths (48", 60", 72") round out the lineup, though the adjustable-shelf models are only available in 24" and 30" widths.

Selecting the Right Cabinet:

♦ Counter height vs. full height, the 46-1/2" interior height of this series suits positions where a full-height 72"-interior cabinet would block sightlines, create access difficulties, or simply exceed the storage need. The reduced height also positions the cabinet's top surface at approximately workbench height, making it usable as a work surface when no items are stored on top.

♦ Shelf configuration: no shelf (SCN) for open-floor storage of bulky or tall items. One fixed center shelf (SC) at a fixed mid-height position divides the interior into two even zones. One adjustable center shelf (SC-A) can be set in 3-1/2" increments to match the height of stored items on either side of the shelf and can be removed entirely. Two fixed shelves (SC2) divide the interior into three storage zones. Choose the configuration that best matches the mix of items to be stored.

♦ Adjustable shelf availability: the SC-A models are only available in 24" and 30" widths, not in the 36"-wide format. If a 36"-wide cabinet with adjustable interior organization is needed, consider the SC (fixed center shelf) or SC2 (two fixed shelves) formats, or the full-height SL-A adjustable-shelf series.

♦ Footpads vs. legged clearance, the lag holes in the footpads allow permanent floor anchoring for stability -- particularly valuable in applications where the cabinet will be used as a work surface or where forklift access is less of a priority than stability. Verify with Little Giant whether the 4" under-clearance remains functional with these footpads or whether permanent lag-bolting eliminates transport by pallet truck.

♦ Width and length, the width dimension (24", 30", 36") is the narrower dimension of the cabinet footprint. The length (48", 60", 72") is the longer dimension the doors open toward. Select based on available floor space and the length of the longest items to be stored.

♦ Bench-Area Tool Cribs, production floor or maintenance bench areas where a full-height cabinet would obstruct workflow, visibility, or supervisor sightlines but where locked, visible mesh storage is still required for tool accountability and access control.

♦ Permanent Bolted Installations, applications where the cabinet is fixed in position with lag bolts through the footpad lag holes, eliminating the need for forklift transport in exchange for added stability, particularly at positions used as work surfaces.

♦ Parts and Supply Storage at Seated Work Positions: Ergonomic workstations where operators work seated benefit from lower-profile storage that is accessible without standing, with mesh doors that allow contents to be identified at a glance without opening the cabinet.
