Rousseau Modular Drawer Shelving | 48" Wide x 24" Deep, Maximum Footprint Series

Rousseau 48" wide x 24" deep modular drawer shelving is the largest standard footprint in the Rousseau modular drawer shelving lineup, with the maximum combined width and depth. All drawers carry 400 pounds and extend fully on precision slides. This configuration is appropriate when stored items require both the widest lateral space and the most front-to-back volume available in the pre-configured Rousseau series.

The 48x24 series offers one configuration found nowhere else in the lineup: the R5SHE-874803 and R5SHE-874803A, which include (4) 4" drawers, (4) 6" drawers, and one 8" drawer. The 8" drawer height is the deepest available in any standard pre-configured Rousseau modular drawer shelving unit on this site and is only available in this configuration at 87" high.

Five configurations are available at 75" height. Six configurations are available at 87" height, adding the 8"-drawer option. Starter units stand alone or begin a row. Add-on units share uprights with adjacent units. For custom configurations, call CustomMHS at 866-333-0728. 

Selecting the Right Configuration:

♦ 48x24 vs. 48x18, both are 48" wide. The 24" depth provides more front-to-back drawer volume. Choose 48x24 when the stored items require more front-to-back depth than 18" provides or when maximizing per-drawer volume is the priority. Choose 48x18 when the shallower footprint is preferred or adequate.

♦ 48 "x 24" vs. 42 "x 24"; both are 24" deep. The 48" width provides six additional inches of lateral drawer space. Choose 48x24 when items are too wide for the 42"-wide drawer. Choose 42x24 when the wider installation footprint is not available or needed.

♦ 8" drawer height (R5SHE-874803 and R5SHE-874803A only), the 8" drawer height is available only in this 48x24 x 87" configuration on this site. It suits the tallest parts in the storage inventory items that exceed the clearance of 6"-high drawers. The R5SHE-874803 configuration provides (4) 4" drawers, (4) 6" drawers, and one 8" drawer, giving three different heights in a single unit for storing a mix of flat, medium-height, and tall parts.

♦ Drawer height mix for standard configurations, the five standard configurations (1801, 3601, 4801, 4805, 4809) match the configurations available across the other series pages (3) 4" + (1) 6", (3) 4" + (4) 6", (8) 6", (6) 4" + (4) 6", and the roll-out shelf option.

♦ Roll-out shelf option (R5SHE-754809 and R5SHE-874809), these configurations include (2) 3", (3) 4", (2) 6" drawers, and one roll-out shelf that slides out on its own rails.

♦ Height, 75" vs. 87", five configurations are available at 75" high. Six configurations are available at 87" high, including the unique 8"-drawer option. Choose 87" when the 8"-drawer option is needed or when more drawer positions per unit are the priority.

♦ Starter vs. add-on units: Order one starter per row. Add-on units share uprights with adjacent units and cannot stand alone.

♦ Aerospace and Defense Maximum-Volume Component Storage, aerospace and defense facilities requiring the largest available per-drawer volume in a standard pre-configured Rousseau unit use the 48x24 series for organized, labeled, 400-pound-capacity storage of the widest and deepest components in the inventory.
