Jamco FM-Series Manual-Closed Flammable Storage Cabinets

Jamco FM-Series Manual-Closed Flammable Safety Cabinets | 90 and 120 Gallon
Jamco FM-Series manual-close flammable safety cabinets are the high-capacity counterpart to the BM-Series, covering 90 and 120-gallon storage requirements in a manual-close two-door format. Double-wall steel construction limits heat transfer to the stored contents, flame-arrester vents prevent external ignition sources from reaching the cabinet interior, and a built-in spill-containment sump captures leaks and drips before they reach the floor. The 3-point locking handle secures the cabinet between uses. FM-approved and compliant with OSHA and NFPA flammable liquid storage requirements.
Both models are 34" deep and 70" high with 2 adjustable shelves. The FM90 is 43" wide; the FM120 is 59" wide. Both use manual-close doors.
Models and Specifications:
♦ FM90, 43" wide x 34" deep x 70" high. 90-gallon capacity. 2 adjustable shelves. Double-wall steel. Flame arrester vents. Spill containment sump. 3-point locking. FM approved. Manual-close doors.
♦ FM120, 59" wide x 34" deep x 70" high. 120-gallon capacity. 2 adjustable shelves. Double-wall steel. Flame arrester vents. Spill containment sump. 3-point locking. FM approved. Manual-close doors.
Selecting the Right Cabinet:
♦ Capacity: 90 vs. 120 gallons. The FM90 suits facilities with a defined high-volume flammable liquid inventory that falls within the 90-gallon limit at a single storage position. The FM120 is the largest manual-close flammable cabinet in the Jamco lineup and accommodates the highest single-position storage volume available in this series. Both models are rated at the per-cabinet capacity limits established by OSHA 1910.106 and NFPA 30. For a single storage cabinet, verify that the selected capacity does not exceed the allowable storage volume for the specific storage location and occupancy type.
♦ FM-Series vs. BM-Series at 90 and 120 gallons, both series are manual-close with FM approval and OSHA/NFPA compliance. The BM90 and BM120 cover the same capacities at lower list prices. Verify with CustomMHS what specification or certification differences distinguish the FM-Series from the BM-Series at these capacities before selecting between them.
♦ Manual-close at high capacity, at 90 and 120 gallons, the cabinet will typically hold multiple large containers that are accessed less frequently than the smaller-capacity BM-Series. The manual-close format is appropriate when cabinet access is deliberate, and users reliably close and latch the doors after each use. If the cabinet will be accessed in high-frequency, high-throughput environments where doors may be left open between accesses, the self-close BS-Series is a more reliable alternative for ensuring the cabinet remains secured.
♦ FM-Series models include 2 adjustable shelves for organizing containers by type, size, or use frequency within the cabinet. The large interior volume at these capacities accommodates drums, 5-gallon containers, and multiple smaller containers on the same shelf.
♦ FM approval, the Factory Mutual approval on FM-Series cabinets satisfies procurement requirements for FM-insured facilities and operations where FM certification is a specified condition of purchase or insurance coverage.
Where Commonly Used:
♦ Large-Volume Flammable Liquid Storage Positions, facilities that store high volumes of solvents, fuels, adhesives, or process chemicals at a single position, use the 90 or 120-gallon FM-Series cabinet to consolidate the full working inventory in a compliant, locked enclosure rather than distributing it across multiple smaller cabinets or general shelving.
♦ Central Flammable Liquid Storage Rooms, dedicated flammable storage rooms or chemical storage areas that serve multiple departments or shifts use the 120-gallon model to maximize the volume stored per cabinet footprint while maintaining FM approval and compliance credentials.
♦ Paint and Coating Operations with High Throughput, finishing operations that consume large volumes of paints, thinners, and reducers per shift store the shift's full working supply in the 90 or 120-gallon FM-Series cabinet at the paint booth or finishing area, limiting the number of trips to the central storage room during production.
♦ Fleet and Heavy Equipment Service Facilities, large service facilities storing bulk quantities of fuel system cleaners, solvents, and lubricants at service bays, use the high-capacity FM-Series to keep the full working supply at the service position, secured and compliant between service runs.
♦ Facilities Requiring FM Certification at High Volumes, operations with FM insurance requirements, FM loss prevention audits, or FM-specified procurement conditions use the FM-Series to satisfy the FM approval requirement at the 90 and 120-gallon storage volumes that smaller BM-Series models cannot cover.
