Rousseau heavy-duty cabinets offer a range of safety features. As its name suggests, our one-drawer-at-a-time mechanism prevents more than one drawer from being opened at once. This increases the cabinet's stability and eliminates the risk of it falling forward when the drawers are open.


As for the integrated lock-in mechanism, it prevents drawers from opening on their own when the cabinet is moved. When you want to open a drawer, the locking mechanism intuitively deactivates when you lift the handle. Rousseau is the only manufacturer to offer this unique and patented mechanism, which makes accessing drawer contents both easy and safe. Another option with a similar function is our econo lock-in mechanism. Like its counterpart, it prevents drawers from opening when the cabinet is moved. This particular mechanism, however, must be activated using the thumb. These two solutions are essential for mobile cabinets, or for use in a truck, for example.


For secure access to toolbox contents, Rousseau also offers various types of locks. In addition to key locks and padlocks, Rousseau offers an electronic lock that provides advanced access control for multiple cabinets. Keying in a code provides access to the cabinet. Each user can have their own unique code to access multiple cabinets. Whichever lock is chosen, items and equipment can be stored securely so they remain accessible only to those who really need them.

	Cabinet key lock (RB00)  Standard Allows user to lock all drawers at same time
	Heavy-Duty Cabinet Vertical Security Bar (RB10) Locks all of the cabinet drawers with one padlocks.   Safety hasp is located at the top of the bar to facilitate access.   Installs on the right side.  Complete access to drawers is possible, even when installed against a wall.
	True One-drawer-at-a-time System (RB15) Prevents opening several drawers simultaneously. This ensures cabinet stability and protects the users. Recommended for cabinets not anchored to the floor.
	Integrated Lock-In Mechanism (RY08) Standard  Allows user to open the drawer and the roll-out shelf with one hand only.  Stops drawer and roll-out shelf from opening on its own.  Activated by tilting the handle up.
	Lock-Out Mechanism (RF85) Locks drawers in open position.  Activated manually only when required.
	Side Handle Attaches to the side of single or double cabinets : specify which side (left or right).  Anodized aluminium with durable plastic end caps. Large handle to make moving cabinet easier.
