Presto CW Series Counterweight Stackers

Presto CW Series Counterweight Stackers eliminate straddle legs entirely, using Presto's stacking ballast system to provide stability without front legs extending under the load. This gives clean, unobstructed access to pallet rack bottom bars, closed-bottom containers, van and truck floors, and any application where straddle legs would physically prevent entry or require repositioning of the load first.

All CW models lower to 1", practically flat to the floor, making them suited for loads sitting directly on the floor or vehicle bed with no pallet gap clearance. The unit is 27" wide and 36" long. Selection Guide:

♦ Counterweight vs. straddle-leg stacker: the fundamental reason to choose the CW Series is the absence of straddle legs. Every other walkie stacker in the CustomMHS catalog (Presto PS/PSA/PST, Wesco, Logitrans ELF/ELFS, Presto B600/B800) uses straddle legs that extend forward under the load. Straddle legs require pallet or container entry openings and cannot access loads sitting on solid surfaces or in vehicles with low floor clearance. The CW Series accesses any of these loads without modification. If the application does not require straddle-leg-free access, a straddle stacker at the same capacity will likely be more cost-effective.

♦ Capacity: 200, 400, 600, 800, or 1,000 lb. Both the C62A (62") and C74A (74") series are available at all five capacity tiers. Select based on the maximum expected load weight. Note that the CW Series is most commonly used for lighter-duty bin, carton, component, and equipment lifting tasks, not for standard full-pallet weights of 2,000+ lbs. Verify that the load type and weight fall within the selected capacity.

♦ Raised height, 62" or 74", select based on the highest lifting position needed. The C62A models raise to 62"; the C74A models raise to 74". The model number prefix indicates the raised height.

♦ Lowered height, 1", the 1" lowered height allows the forks to slide under loads sitting at floor level or on van and truck bed floors with minimal clearance. This is significantly lower than that of standard straddle stackers and is part of why CW stackers are suited for vehicle loading applications.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Pallet Rack Access with Bottom Obstructions: In warehouse and distribution operations where rack bottom bars or rack design prevents straddle legs from fitting between the rack base and the floor, use the CW Series to service rack positions that would otherwise require a forklift or manual handling.

♦ Van and Truck Loading and Unloading: for operations loading and unloading vans, cargo trucks, and vehicles where the cargo bed height and floor clearance prevent straddle legs from sliding under loads, use the CW Series for electric-lift loading at the vehicle floor level to access loads that sit directly on the vehicle bed.

♦ Bin, Carton, and Component Lifting in Tight Spaces, production and stockroom operations lifting bins, cartons, totes, and components in aisles and work cell areas where straddle legs would encroach on the available working space, use the compact 27"x36" footprint of the CW Series for electric lift in confined areas.

♦ Closed-Bottom Container and Pallet Handling: Operations handling closed-bottom containers, solid-base pallets, or other loads without accessible underside entry use the CW Series as the only counterweight stacker option that can approach and lift these loads without straddle leg interference.
