Vestil Battery Work Positioners

Vestil Battery Powered Work Positioners | Automatic Brake, Dual AGM Battery, 330–550 lb

The Vestil MWP Battery Powered Work Positioners are compact electric lifters for ergonomic load positioning in narrow aisles and confined work spaces. Two 12V AGM batteries with an integral charger provide reliable power. An automatic brake system controls load lowering for smooth, safe descent without manual release management.

Caster configuration distinguishes the MWP from the Vestil PEL Quick Lifts: two 3" polyurethane swivel casters at the load end and two 5" total-locking polyurethane swivel casters at the steering end. The 5" total-locking steering casters lock both swivel and roll for secure, stationary positioning. Quick-change attachments are available to adapt the work positioner to different load types.

Models and Specifications:

♦ MWP-330-DC, 23-5/8" W, 18-1/2" L platform. Service range 5-1/4" to 59". Capacity 330 lbs. Dual 12V AGM batteries, integral charger. Automatic brake. Two 3" polyurethane swivel load casters, two 5" total-locking polyurethane swivel steering casters. Quick-change attachments available.

♦ MWP-550-DC, 23-5/8" W, 18-1/2" L platform. Service range 5-1/4" to 67". Capacity 550 lbs. Dual 12V AGM batteries, integral charger. Automatic brake. Two 3" polyurethane swivel load casters, two 5" total-locking polyurethane swivel steering casters. Quick-change attachments available. Greater capacity and 8" more maximum reach than the MWP-330-DC.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Capacity, 330 lb vs. 550 lb, select based on the maximum expected load weight. The MWP-550-DC also reaches 67" maximum height (vs. 59" for the MWP-330-DC), so if both higher capacity and greater height are needed, the MWP-550-DC is the appropriate choice.

♦ Automatic brake vs. push-button lower, the MWP uses an automatic brake for controlled lowering, which holds the load at height until the operator initiates lowering and then controls the descent rate. This is different from the push-button lower control on the PEL Quick Lifts. Verify which lowering control style is preferred for the application.

♦ Caster configuration, the 5" total-locking steering casters lock both the swivel and the roll, providing a fully fixed caster for stable positioning. The smaller 3" load-end casters allow tight maneuvering under the load. This configuration differs from the uniform four-caster setup on the PEL Quick Lifts.

♦ MWP Work Positioners vs. PEL Quick Lifts, both series use dual 12V AGM batteries, HDPE-surfaced platforms, and similar compact footprints. The MWP distinguishes itself with the automatic brake and the differentiated caster configuration. The PEL Quick Lifts are available at higher capacity (up to 400 lb in the PEL-S steel series) and include the Programmable Height Indexing option. Choose the lowering control type and caster configuration that best suit the application.

Where Commonly Used:

♦ Assembly and Kitting Workstations, assembly and kitting operations using the MWP to lift and position component bins, parts trays, and supply containers at the workstation, use the automatic brake for controlled, stable height holding during the assembly or kitting cycle.

♦ Packing Station Ergonomic Positioning, packing stations where operators repeatedly access cartons, totes, and packaging materials at a fixed working height use the battery-powered MWP for push-button electric positioning without manual pumping or physical strain.

♦ Narrow Aisle and Confined Space Positioning, operations in narrow aisles and tight work cells use the MWP's compact footprint and 5" total-locking casters for precise positioning and secure stationary lock at the work location.

♦ Quick-Change Attachment Applications, operations handling multiple load types throughout the shift use the quick-change attachment capability to adapt the work positioner to different load configurations without returning to a separate piece of equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are Vestil DC-powered aluminum Quick Lifts used for?
Vestil DC-powered aluminum Quick Lifts are lightweight electric material lifters designed to raise and position loads with minimal effort. They are commonly used to lift bins, totes, equipment, or palletized goods to ergonomic working heights. Because they run on battery power, operators can move and lift without being tethered to an electrical outlet. These lifters are ideal for environments where mobility, ease of use, and frequent height adjustment are priorities.
How does battery-powered lifting improve ergonomics and comfort?
Battery-powered lifting eliminates the need for manual pumping, reducing bending, reaching, and physical strain. Operators simply press a button to raise or lower loads, helping maintain better posture throughout the workday. This reduces fatigue and supports safer handling practices. Over time, powered lifting contributes to steadier productivity and fewer ergonomic injuries.
What makes the aluminum frame design valuable?
An aluminum frame keeps these Quick Lifts lightweight and easy to maneuver without sacrificing strength. This makes them practical for facilities that need to move lifters between workstations or across open warehouse floors. The lighter build also reduces operator effort during transport and positioning. If mobility and ease of handling are important, the aluminum design delivers.
Where do Vestil aluminum Quick Lifts perform best?
These electric lifters perform well in warehouses, production lines, distribution centers, and packing or assembly areas. Their mobility and ergonomic lift range make them especially useful in zones where items are accessed repeatedly throughout the day. They work well in compact spaces and high-traffic areas where larger, bulkier lifts aren’t practical. Any operation focused on flexible, powered lifting can benefit from these units.
How do these lifts support productivity and workflow efficiency?
Keeping materials at the right working height reduces wasted motion and speeds up repetitive tasks. Operators can lift and position loads quickly and consistently, which improves throughput. Controlled electric lifting also enhances load stability and reduces handling errors. Over time, these benefits create a smoother workflow and better overall performance.
