Wesco Scale Pallet Truck

The Wesco Scale Pallet Truck combines 5,000 lb pallet transport with an integrated Mettler-Toledo Hawk scale and sensor, delivering ±0.22 lb (3.5 oz) weighing accuracy at the point of movement. Operators weigh pallet loads during picking, staging, receiving, or shipping without stopping to use a separate floor scale, eliminating a handling step and improving weight accuracy for shipping compliance, production batching, and inventory control.

The scale uses an LED display and is UL-approved. A rechargeable battery powers the scale electronics and can be recharged via the built-in AC charger while the truck is plugged in. A 2-year pump warranty covers the hydraulic system. The three-position hand control and 205° turning radius support maneuvering in busy dock and staging areas. Seven-inch moldon polyurethane steering wheels and 3" moldon polyurethane load wheels provide smooth rolling across facility floors. Fork travel is 2.9" lowered to 8" raised. Fork width is 7".

Two models are available at the same 5,000 lb capacity and 47.5" fork length. The only variable is fork width.

♦ 272938, 22.5" W, 47.5" L forks. Capacity 5,000 lbs. Travel 2.9" to 8". Same specification as 272936, with a narrower fork width. Choose when pallet entry openings are narrower than standard or when reduced fork width improves maneuverability in the application.

Selecting the Right Model:

♦ Fork width, 27.5" or 22.5": The 272936 uses 27.5" wide forks for standard and wide pallet entry openings. The 272938 uses 22.5" wide forks for narrower entry openings or applications where a narrower fork width reduces aisle footprint. Both models are identically priced and otherwise identical in specification.

♦ Scale accuracy and applications: The ±0.22 lb accuracy of the Mettler-Toledo Hawk scale is suitable for most commercial shipping weight verification, production batching by weight, and inventory control applications. If legal-for-trade certification is required, verify the scale's certification status with Wesco before ordering.

♦ Wesco scale truck vs. standard pallet trucks: the scale pallet truck is priced above the standard Wesco pallet truck lineup (Standard Deluxe, CPII) and is justified when weight verification is a frequent daily task that currently requires a separate trip to a floor scale. If weighing is occasional or the facility has a well-placed floor scale, a standard pallet truck is more cost-effective.
