MECO Cantilever Series 2000 Structural Brace Sets for Cantilever Rack Stability

These structural channel brace sets bolt between pairs of Series 2000 uprights to provide lateral stability. One brace set is required for each bay in the row. The number of braces per set and the inclusion of X bracing vary by upright height group, making it important to match the brace set to the actual uprights in your system.

Series 2000 brace sets are compatible only with Series 2000 uprights. They are not interchangeable with Series 1000 brace sets or any other MECO rack series, even where dimensions appear similar.

Choosing the Right Brace Set:

Three decisions determine the correct model: upright height group, brace length, and inclusion of X bracing.

Step 1: Select the upright height group. Three groups are available, each with a different number of braces per set and distinct X-bracing requirements.

♦ 22B series (6' to 8' uprights): Two braces per set. Standard channel bracing. Nine lengths available (23" to 119" actual width). Note: the 119" wide model (22B120) includes X bracing due to the extended span -- see pricing and confirm with MECO before ordering.

♦ 23B series (10' to 14' uprights): Three braces per set. Standard channel bracing on most lengths. The 119" wide model (23B120) also includes X bracing at the extended span.

♦ 24B series (16' to 20' uprights): Four braces per set plus X bracing on all models. The X suffix on every model in this group (24B24X through 24B84X) indicates that the set includes X-bracing components integrated with the channel braces. The two widest models (24B96XX and 24B120XX) use a double-X designation indicating an additional level of cross-bracing for the widest spans at maximum height.

Step 2: Measure centerline to centerline. As with the Series 1000 braces, length is measured from the centerline of one upright to the centerline of the next. The actual brace width is consistently 1" less than the nominal model number (22B24 = 23" actual, 22B36 = 35" actual, and so on through 22B120 = 119" actual). Measure before ordering.

Available lengths (actual width in parentheses):

♦ B24 models: 23" actual.

♦ B36 models: 35" actual.

♦ B42 models: 41" actual.

♦ B48 models: 47" actual.

♦ B60 models: 59" actual.

♦ B72 models: 71" actual.

♦ B84 models: 83" actual.

♦ B96 models: 95" actual.

♦ B120 models: 119" actual. X bracing is included across all height groups at this length.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are Meco Cantilever Series 2000 Structural Brace Sets?
Meco Cantilever Series 2000 Structural Brace Sets are structural channel members for Series 2000 cantilever rack systems. They bolt between pairs of uprights to help provide lateral stability. Each brace set supports proper spacing between upright frames. Brace length is measured from upright centerline to upright centerline. These brace sets are sold as complete sets, not individual pieces.
Why are structural brace sets important for cantilever rack stability?
Structural brace sets help keep cantilever rack uprights aligned and properly supported. This matters when storing long, bulky, or oversized materials. Without proper bracing, a rack system may have more movement during daily use. The correct brace set helps support the overall storage structure. It also helps maintain a cleaner and more organized rack layout.
How do I choose the correct Meco Series 2000 brace set?
Start by measuring the horizontal distance between upright centerlines. This measurement helps determine the correct brace length for your rack layout. You should also match the brace set to the height of your uprights.
What key features should buyers know about these brace sets?
Meco Cantilever Series 2000 Structural Brace Sets are made from heavy-duty structural channel members. The standard finish is gray for a clean industrial appearance. Brace sets are available in different configurations based on upright height. Taller rack systems may require additional braces or X bracing. Brace lengths over 84 inches may require additional X-bracing for support.
Where are Meco Cantilever Series 2000 Brace Sets typically used?
These brace sets are commonly used in warehouses, lumber yards, manufacturing plants, and industrial storage areas. They support cantilever racks used for pipe, bar stock, tubing, lumber, and similar materials. Facilities use them when assembling, expanding, or maintaining Series 2000 rack systems. They help create a more dependable storage layout for long materials. Proper bracing also supports safer handling around cantilever storage systems.
