MECO Series 2,000 Cantilever Inclined Arms for Industrial Rack Systems

These inclined cantilever arms attach to Series 2000 uprights and tilt stored material back toward the upright at a 20-degree pitch, approximately 4.36" per foot. The incline keeps round, cylindrical, or bundled materials from rolling or sliding forward off the arm during storage and retrieval. For flat, stable loads that do not roll, use the Series 2000 straight arms instead.

Arms adjust on 3" centers up and down the upright using a hairpin keeper that does not require tools to insert or remove. Standard finish is gray. One capacity tier is available per length, unlike the straight arm series, which offers HD and XHD tiers at longer lengths. If higher per-arm capacity is required at a given length, verify with MECO whether HD-inclined arm variants are available for the Series 2000, or call 866-333-0728.

Arms are sold individually. Series 2000 inclined arms are compatible only with Series 2000 uprights, not interchangeable with Series 1000 or any other MECO rack series. Prices are shown by manufacturer model number for direct competitor comparison.

Choosing the Right Arm Length and Capacity:

Capacity per arm decreases as arm length increases. Select the arm length that fully supports the load width, then confirm the per-arm capacity covers the weight of material on each arm level.

♦ 2IA12: 12" long, 2,000 lb per arm.

♦ 2IA18: 18" long, 1,500 lb per arm.

♦ 2IA124: 24" long, 1,200 lb per arm.

♦ 2IA130: 30" long, 1,000 lb per arm.

♦ 2IA136: 36" long, 800 lb per arm.

♦ 2IA142: 42" long, 700 lb per arm.

♦ 2IA148: 48" long, 600 lb per arm. The longest inclined arm in the Series 2000 system. Verify that per-arm load does not exceed 600 lbs at this length.

Arm length must also match the base length of the Series 2000 upright. Confirm base-to-arm length compatibility before ordering.

Where Series 2000 Inclined Arms Are Commonly Used:

♦ Heavy pipe and large-diameter tubing: The 20-degree incline holds large-diameter pipe sections settled against the upright, preventing roll-off during forklift loading and retrieval on high-capacity storage systems.

♦ Large conduit and electrical raceways: Heavy-wall conduit stored in quantity on Series 2000 inclined arms at organized positions by size and material for efficient retrieval by electricians and contractors.

♦ Heavy bar stock and structural round: Solid round bar, heavy-wall tube, and structural pipe stored on inclined arms where the back-tilt keeps bundles or individual pieces from shifting during daily access.

♦ Mixed cylindrical and flat material systems: Inclined arms can be installed at specific levels of a Series 2000 upright while straight arms serve other levels, matching the arm type to the material at each storage position.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are MECO Series 2000 Cantilever Inclined Arms used for?
MECO Series 2000 Cantilever Inclined Arms are used with compatible Series 2,000 cantilever racking systems. They support long, bulky, and hard-to-store materials in warehouses, shops, and industrial facilities. The inclined design helps keep materials positioned toward the upright during storage. This makes them useful for pipe, tubing, conduit, bar stock, and similar materials. They help create open storage levels with clear access for loading and removal.
How do inclined cantilever arms help your facility stay organized?
Inclined cantilever arms help move long materials off the floor and into structured rack storage. This can reduce clutter in aisles, work zones, and staging areas. The angled design helps control load movement, especially with round or cylindrical materials. Better organization also improves visibility, making inventory easier to locate and count. This supports cleaner storage areas and smoother daily material handling.
What key features do MECO Series 2000 inclined arms offer?
These MECO cantilever arms have a 20-degree pitch to help manage load position. That pitch equals about 4.36 inches per foot along the arm. The arms adjust on 3-inch centers along the upright for flexible storage spacing. A hairpin keeper allows quick height changes without complicated steps. These features help facilities adjust storage levels as inventory sizes change.
When should you use inclined arms instead of straight cantilever arms?
Inclined arms are commonly used when materials may roll, shift, or need added positioning support. Typical examples include pipe, tubing, conduit, round stock, and other cylindrical products. Straight arms are generally used for stable loads like lumber, sheets, cartons, and skids. Choosing the correct arm style helps improve storage control and rack usability. It also helps match the rack layout to the material being stored.
How can MECO Series 2000 inclined arms improve daily operations?
MECO Series 2000 inclined arms help employees store and retrieve long materials with fewer handling issues. Adjustable arm spacing lets your team change rack levels as product dimensions change. The open cantilever design keeps materials accessible without front posts blocking the load. This can reduce wasted floor space and improve traffic flow around storage areas. Over time, better rack organization supports safer and more efficient workflows.
