The Hallowell 5711-18 Hi-Tech 6-Shelf Tool Crib Shelving is built for industrial storage that gets used hard, daily. It combines a high shelf count (six levels) with Hallowell’s heavy-duty Hi-Tech construction, providing dense storage for tools, parts, and supplies without compromising strength.

Each shelf is engineered for long-term performance with a tubular, welded box-beam front and rear for maximum rigidity, exclusive triple-bend side flanges for extra strength, and lapped & welded corners that resist racking under load. The shelf surface is punched to accept shelf dividers, allowing you to create assigned locations and keep inventory organized instead of piled and mixed.

Installation stays fast and straightforward: each shelf mounts using only four shelf clips. The unit uses beaded front posts (flush design for straight-in/straight-out shelf installation and full use of shelf width) along with angle back posts (roll-formed for strength). Posts are punched on 1-1/2" centers, so shelf heights can be adjusted precisely as your storage needs change.

This is an open starter unit, meaning it’s the first bay to begin a run. Use a starter unit to start each row, then extend the row with add-on (adder) units.

With 18" depth and 450 lb per shelf capacity, this model is the best all-around choice when you want more capacity than 12" deep shelving while keeping access comfortable in most tool crib and storeroom layouts.
