The Hallowell 5535-18 Hi-Tech Metal Bin Starter Shelving is a high-density, assigned-location shelving system designed to speed up picking and tighten inventory control, especially in parts rooms with many small SKUs. Each item gets its own dedicated bin opening, so workers can spot the right part fast, pull it confidently, and move on with fewer errors.

This 5535 layout is designed for maximum SKU separation, combining compact 6" and 9" openings with larger 12" and 18" openings for bulkier items. The 18" depth is the sweet spot when you want more on-hand capacity than a 12" unit, but still want everything easy to see and reach from the aisle.

The starter unit is complete and freestanding, ready to install as a standalone section or as the anchor for a longer run. When it’s time to expand, add adder units that connect to the starter and share a side panel, letting you build continuous rows efficiently while reducing the cost per added bay.

Built from heavy-duty steel with closed back and side panels, contents stay contained, and your storage area remains clean and professional. Adjustable, removable dividers make it easy to reconfigure openings as inventory changes—so the system adapts instead of forcing a redesign.
