It keeps the same 5-1/2 inch width and 5 inch height, so it lines up with the 30230 on a shelf face, but the interior runs 14-1/16 inches with a nearly 13 inch flat bottom. On standard 18-inch-deep shelving, a 10-7/8 inch bin leaves about 7 inches of dead space behind it, while the 30234 uses most of that depth. Capacity rises to 50 pounds on a rack, about two-thirds more than the 30230, so it handles castings, couplings, and dense bagged hardware. Use it when sizing bins to the shelf rather than the part.
